  1. Nice videos. There is another floating around of Bou's nasty crash . He lost control at the top of the rocks and the poor old Honda flipped almost upside down had a really bad fall.Toni looked hurt as well.

    Vertigo

Agreed The only game changer for me would be a pair of stabilizers As for Dabill. He will be riding the set up he wants in the Trials. Vertigo are not going to compromise a result on some untested system. They are still refining and working on the bike which is great news for customers later on.
  3. Well they're is more of a risk of it happening with an ossa than a Honda. If your tuned in with your bike id have thought you'd hear or feel something going wrong before it does.... so you've at least got a hundred yards of notice before the break down...... Ouch. Just buy one stop worrying. My garage is full of bikes I can't buy anything for of the shelf too easy. It doesn't put me off.
  4. I can tell your drawn into the purchase despite what we are saying. You'll always be able to find stock. I'd imagine importers still have gearbox stocks. I was recently at the factory and I saw a shelf of Ossa assembled gearbox shafts ready to slot in .I'll post some pics up shortly. Getting them might be more difficult , but they'll end up some where.
  5. Back in March whilst in Spain i chuffed to be able to get a ride on the advanced TRS prototype with Jordi Tarres on his practise grounds in the hills around his home . I made a report about it here. http://www.retrotrials.com/trs-prototype-test.html At this stage the TRS chassis was finished and they were putting some final touches to the engine and silencer. Both the chassis and the engine have components that i have never seen before . The chassis contained a power controlling set up that was said to make a good difference . Jordi stated that he wasnt sure whether this would make it to the production model. It's not that it was to expensive to produce , it was whether it was necesary or not. Perhaps in the future it might show its face. The actual prototype ( that is not the finished bike ) had completely white modern plastics and a black alluminium chassis that immediately reminded me on the 4RT chassis. Like modern bikes it was very tiny and very light. I could tell from the general condition of the prototype that it had been used a lot . I know Jordi as well as other top riders have been assisting in its development and giving thier feedback , shaping the bike.Jordi described the TRS as being an evolution of the JTG...which makes sense. Jordi has been developing bikes since the Beta days. He obviously has the right feel to make a great bike . He also has the fabrication skills , Tig welding another alloy prototype silencer whilst i was there. I I got to take the proto accompanied by a very watchful Jordi Tarres who was keen to make sure that i did not take any photos of this unfinished bike or smash it up by flipping it. After a ride off from his house down the roads , Jordi veered off into the woods to some established practise ground. He jumped off his bike and minded me. My honest , initial impressions of the bike were that it was very very god indeed . It felt so so light and it was so manouverable. The suspension made it easy to flick around. The brakes were obviously very very good. The 300 engine was very powerful ,more so that my JTG engine and very quiet running. I am sure this prototype will change a little as refinements are made. Its clear to me that the TRS is clearly a top level bike , but its also a bike with mostly establish tech so it easily maintained.
  6. I'm told there is a trial and also a motocross. I dint have any more details though.
  7. Post of the week award to Biff
  8. Someone's probably just dug deeper into thier over draft lol.
  9. Because trial hasn't got 2 pennies to rub together and teams rely on generous but almost skint doting sponsors to paint thier oversized vans and pull them through from one trial to the next.
  10. It'll be a big announcement seeing as Jgas have had noone here for a while. Maybe a party for us all in Andorra ? That would be nice JGas .....please
  11. There is no doubt about it , this is very good news for JGas . Prepare for something big
  12. Your onto something there me thinks
  13. Threatening will be all that happens. There are in fact 2 people that used to run ossa .... but then they amalgamated with GG and thier control eroded. Everyone wants to take thier Government to court some time or other. There's not a chance in hell it'll happen. It's just brave defiant talk in front of the redundant workers
  14. Just use the website search engine. You will find that this subject has been explored so so so so so so so so many times and every possibility from from sleeping with Sky sports executives to producing disposable bikes has been suggested . Same thread .......different day
  15. Great news - This bike is now confirmed by Bernie Schreiber as being his bike .
  16. Amongst other Bernie Schreiber is coming along for the evening dinner and the Saturday untill 1pm.
  17. I've not heard that one before. It will richen it up a little across the whole rev range.
  18. 70/1 was what was recommended to me. Mine runs cleanly and i dont believe / have the confidence that oils have developed so much that 100/1 is safe. Oil , exhaust , air filters companies rely on the naive to pay their xmas bonus'. Its common for some people to find that the bottom end isnt quite as clean as a gasser for instance. Its just the way it is. Try removing any heavy oiling from your air filter . That might help. The Keihn sorts it completely , but it also makes it quite a bit more powerful
  19. Ok...ive been in touch with one of the mechanics. I know this doesn't exactly make it easy for you....but the internal volume of the insert should be 42cc to the top of the spark plug hole. The factory does have these inserts and they were fitted to later 2014 models as standard and no doubt 2015 bikes. I would imagine that they are supplied by S3 Girona so try contacting Michel there.
  20. Slik, The main jet is 120 and the pilot is 35. I havent got the needle number but im guessing yours will be standard. Run 70/1 on synthetic 2 stroke oil .
  21. If you have a mid brown coloured plug your mixture will be spot on. I believe the problem lies in the head inserts. There are 2 or 3 gold coloured head inserts and you may not have the one you need ie the lowest compression. They are measured at the factory by coating the gasket face in grease and placing it firmly on glass. They you fill it up measuring the oil.I got one from the factory which they assured me would cure the same problem I had. .. and it did. The bike has no more pinking and revs higher. I will get the oil capacity from one of the mechanics at the factory for you so when you order another you can get the right one. Other people I know fitted the wrong gold inserts. It's an easy mistake to make.
  22. Jgas aren't making many bikes at the moment . This is simply because they have been building to order and without the importers the sales aren't coming in at the rate that would enable them to scale things up. But from what I've been told Jgas have some good news. I've been told this morning by a reliable source that there is a new importer. I don't know who it is but it's good news. As you said the bikes are just great and in my opinion the best of any brand. The quality is also good. With a UK importer in place the communication will increase. Hopefully we will hear fairly soon.
  23. Eddie . They're not demised yet . They might limp on .. as they are doing now and produce a 16 bike because the change cost is very minimal. You have to understand this. The owner could drag this out until 2020 easy. .... and possibly will producing a new bike .... but the company is a shadow of its former self. Jgas hemorrhaged badly when Jordi left. .... then all the GasGas colleagues left. ... then our importer .Its no surprise that there's no life and no blood left. There's no shortage of people in THE UK who fancy a bit of profit is there. There's no shortage of people willing to over look minor issues with business opportunities either is there. But despite this ,noone is jumping in for the UK role. You've just read the reason for that.
  24. Then youve read it correctly. Andrew ..as you know ive been a die hard supporter of the brand , however things have changed. The company is now not good in so many ways. This is the reason why there is no UK importer. Its me that people ask every few days . Emails - facebook , texts etc about the firm. People , mostly customers and importers want to know whats going on. The company dont answer emails so people ask me .JGas will never tell you anything. They do not communicate. Im no longer going to defend them when they are self destructing and are oblivious to any customers needs or enquiries. It's a great bike but It's a sad state of affairs with the company. It's a real pity. The public deserve a little more.
