Hi all just wondering what psi should I be running in my front and rear tyre, I have had around 7psi in both, is this too much or not enough,
-
hi to all that have helped me with the sherco clutch problem i have had and finally it is sorted, i shaved about 2m to 3m of the rod that gose from the clutch basket to the cyilnder been out to day and its spot on, many Thanks guys a big smile on my face now whooooooooooooooooow.
-
Grooves in the basket were filed out first before the new clutch went in, all the plates I replaced as they were, none of the plates are offset should I strip done and off set the last plate or not? When everything is back together you have got some movement on the plates in the basket could it be that because the back of the basket aka as a first steel plate then a friction plate and so on, it could mean the basket is worn and a new one is needed, who knows it seems like a un answerable fault I think now should I have bought a sherco ????
-
I got mine out with a long punch knock it from the inside, soak them with plenty wd40 worked well f me back and front wheels
-
I have stripped mine down again put it back together the same as it was, no clutch plates looked to be offset, I have removed the master cylinder cleaned it ground a little off the push rod, fresh oil back together sparkling like new but still slips in top gears, I have been told it could be the clutch basket now, I have to take the hole basket off and the bike shop is going to measure it for me could this be the fault ? When I do this I will let you all know cheers for all help

Hi sorry about my Geordie twang ha ha, when I say fist full what I mean is, I will be in 4th gear riding across the field open up the throttle and she just slips so you have to slacken of a bit to let you get going, clutch and springs from offroad moto in Blyth, ipone oil, lever has plenty play and everything has been stripped an cleaned I can live with the problem but it dose not seem right for it to be ok 123 gears then 4th and slips it's a pain in the neck really.
