Could you take a look at this link http://fanticmotor.free.fr/Modeles/Trial200-1980.html and tell if it is the same bike as yours ?
-
Hi ! Maybe I could find some informations for you but what is the year of your 200 FANTIC ??? In France there are several websites specialized in Fanticmotors !! I could translate the informations I would find if you want ?

Your question about the exhaust might be interesting. I had an air-cooled 125 beta when I was younger and after two years of practise it didn't run properly, I mean it had no power anymore. My Dad looked for an explanation of that lack of power for a quite long time until the day he wonders about the exhaust. But I'm talking about the central part of the exhaust, not the final one exclusively. The central part of the exhaust is the most important part and if it's full of non-burnt oil and that kind of things, the engine's power is lowered. To clean it, if it's not in aluminium, there's no problem, make a barbecue !! Not kidding, make some wood burn in a barbecue and put the exhaust in it. It has to burn slowly but for a quite long time in order to make the oily paste which is in it turn into ashes. Then you just have to repaint it. Now on the new bikes, we couldn't do it anymore as the central part of the exhaust is in aluminium... It's more complicated to burn. So I just have to "clean" my bike by riding back home by the road, gas full open !! But don't forget never use any inflamable product in order to accelerate the process = danger !!

Cyril DESPRES winner of the Paris-Dakar Rally 2007 & 2005 was French Trial Champion Senior 2 1992 and he's still riding trials from time to time.

Is there anybody who wants to ride the French 4 Days this year ? If so you could find your regs @ http://perso.orange.fr/enduro/trial/ See you there !

I think it's because most of them camp at a campsite located about 10km far from Sardent which is called La Chapelle-Taillefert (closer to Gu

gasgasser: I agree with you it was such a good event. Maybe the weather was a bit too hot but we couldnt complain as sometimes the whole four days could also be awfully rainy (2000 edition for example ; it didnt stop raining at any moment.) Believe me it's better under dry conditions!

GASGASSER : Could you explain why you have such a pseudo though you ride a Sherco ?? What's this story of flying Sherco at this last fu***ing artificial section ?? I was also the only quite flying woman on this last section on day 3. I landed on both of my knees and both of my elbows. I really hate this stupid section!!!
-
Sorry but the man who won in S2 wasnt French but German ! take a look at the results ! Pleased to see that you enjoyed these 4 days under this so incredible heat! It's certainly the best French event on several days. In others you cant find the same atmosphere.

Celine, I am told on the 2005 models that the CDI actually has 2 ignition curves onboard. By changing the configuration of this wire your speaking of, you get the more aggressive curve, or the milder one. Some have actually wired these to a switch so they can easy change back and forth depending on conditions. thanks for your explanation. I've just plugged it and it's even better and more powerful when needed. Great bike in deed !

According to my long experience out there I could say the organisation is getting more and more strict especially as regards youth who want to try to ride even if they're not allowed to. But if you're an adult you should take with you the documents others described above and it would work ! Have a good time !

Hi BA! My 125 is better now. My clutch seems OK and I've changed my rear sprocket from 42 to 46 and it's now a bomb !!! Some friends of mine have tried to plug two wires which come out of the CDI (one orange and one black). They say it's more powerful. Doi you knowanything about this trick ??? Have a good weekend ! And keep your feet up! CELINE

Hi Kinell ! Sorry but I've just checked the list of trials but there's none in that area at that time. Only one tomorrow but next the big town of Limoges which is more in the middle of France.

Thank for the hope you send me but it was useless. I did not finish my first trial on my 125 ... I was mad! In fact I fell in a hard section at the end of the first lap and from that moement on there was air in my hydraulic clutch command... I tried to fix it and go back to the sections. Then I had a big scare as my clutch suddenly didnt work on top of a very steep section.. So I decided to stop before I crashed even badly. In fact there was not enough mineral brake fluid in the command from the start but I hadnt check before the trial! It's not a big problem but it spoilt my trial day. Hope it will be better on the "4 jours de la Creuse" around july 14th !

Hi Barracus! How's your 200 Gasser ?? Mine has just had its first big crash... Its rear mudguard is now less shiny as it was before! I have my first trial on my 125 on Sunday. Hope it'll be great and without too many crashes! Have a good weekend!
