Well here I am again ... Yesterday afternoon I removed my home fabricated silencer and mid box from the kids reflex and installed a complete wes exhaust . Quite a weight savings and after a warm up and mixture adjustment , I'm thoroughly impressed ! With my previous carb mods , 10/50 gearing and the trick rear set footpegs the bike has totally transformed from a wanna be into a real Trials bike ! It ran just a tic on the fat side before , now has a perfect plug color and even better throttle response across the whole rev range .
Now if son finishes his military school program and does right by me and himself , he might earn himself some fresh tires and real rear shocks !

I seem to remember it being red . But the memory's not what it used to be ... I do remember a neighbor kid got a brand new XR 75 , 'cause he was spoiled brat . I could still smoke him thru the woods though on the little yamer . Then I moved up to a Suzuki TS 90 ,Thought I was a B.A.. , till my brothers buddy got a Ossa pioneer ! And cleaned all of our clocks ...

Does it have the spring loaded check valve caps ?
-
HHMMNN... Progressive spring upside down so its displacing more oil ?
-
Did you change the spring spacer ? maybe your getting more total compression than it should have , eliminating the air space ...
Just a thought !

Reminds me of one of my finishes in a netra jr. enduro when I was 10 or 11 . The event was in Rhode Island somewhere , Lots of beach type sand . Anyways I come around the last corner with my trusty Yamaha mini enduro 60? going full tilt in 4th . I can see the finish line straight in front of me in the sand , and for some reason I've never figured out , while going in a straight line maybe 10 feet from the end , my front end washes out and I cross the line face first in the sand . Every one had a great laugh and my dad got it on some super 8 movie film . I wish I knew where that film was now ....

Well I should head out to the shop and fit the new wes exhaust system on my son's reflex ...

Part of why he's got 10 now ...!!!

I used silkolene light for years with great result , But about 2 years ago , on the advice of very intelligent friend of mine , I switched over to redline fully synthetic 80w gear oil , Shifts smoother , and has better clutch action now ... But any good gear oil is better than ATF , the owners manual for my 240 states 20w 30w ... Which a lot higher viscosity than any atf ...

Thanks guys ! But i'd really like to see the footage inside Bou's Minder's helmet camera ... That would show some of the best technique ever ....

At the last Ryan Young class I attended , he had us doing the "tree floater " , I found for me at least , it helped greatly with learning to control my turn . You have to be in the correct form to bounce off the tree correctly , and it will almost force you to steer with your feet as you should while rotating your body towards where you want to end up ... But start real slow , with a large dia. tree , just glancing off it . a large target to hit makes it alot easier when you start out . Refine hitting the tree exactly where you aim , before moving to a smaller tree ... I have seen the tree completely missed and that can get ugly fast ...
My big brother used to p*** me off when we were kids , He could effortlessly ride our trusty TL125 around in circles and figure 8's all day long ...@ walking speed ...

I must ride with some Quality people , I've never worried about it ...

A larger platform for your feet to plant on is just so much more comfortable and controllable ,

B&J racing sell some weld on footpeg extensions that might work for you ...
Bad photo , but you get the 2 top serrated loops and adjust and weld them to your stock pegs.
Good luck , I don't know of anything that fits the stock early fantics...

I've been running Ave gas for years now in my bikes and small engines ...And everything always fires up with no issues , and it helps I've got a small airport about 3 miles away . And I use only eth free premium in my van , whenever possible , the mileage difference is worth it to me ....

As Above , Especially true when a high quality Thick/stiff waterproof type grease is used , along with cold weather ...

Again , SUPERB!

Steve Goode has the correct coils also , and great service , even over here !
And they mount with 2 bolts ....!
-
As above , body position/weighting will make it easier and yes you can control it with your clutch , covering the rear brake on my old fantic is awkward for me sometimes too ...
