  3. YES , And with modified steering stops and a few other changes , you can turn up on yourself ....
  4. Externally mine looked just like any other 240 pro , till a few years ago .
  5. It's a 83 pro with a clouded history of origins ... I know the bike was left here after the WR.in texas that year, and was sold as a used competition motorcycle days later... I've got the paperwork to back that up , But have never been able to determine who's bike it was . and it isn't a "normal" 240 at all , compared to other ones I've got ...
  6. I've got a 84 300 motor that came out of a bike that showed 141 miles on the speedo ... And a undented 300 expansion chamber to go with it . Time will tell .. Glenn
  7. just starting a thread to show the progress of my 340 build ... here are the before photo's ... And this is just insperation for me to get off my fat a*** and do it .... More to follow , as the chassis gets reworked too ... Glenn

  10. I'll just stick to my NV 1500 . Bikes roll in the van if we're not camping , Bikes on trailer if we are ... Glenn

  12. UNBELIEVABLE Craftmanship ..... But you've got way to much free time on your hands ...!!!! Glenn
  13. As above , loosen them so if you bump them with your hand they give , but not loose enough that they move on their own ...
  14. If your in for the long haul , buy a mont ! (just cuz you can't buy a new fantic trials !)
  15. The B&J one is quite robust , and I've seen it slammed over some formidable obstacles , (in practice of course !)... I'm saving for one for my sons reflex, after some real shocks and my spare marzorochi(sp?) fantic forks.... By then he'll apriciate it , for now it's got a modded fantic alli one that wrks better than stock , but doesn't give much protection to the widest points on the engine ... Glenn
  16. http://www.bjracing.com/tlr200.html Toughest one I've seen ...
  17. Just for fun , check out http://blackcatvintagetrials.com/, Do a little poking about and you'll find the coolest RE bullit ever ! (IMHO) . If I remember correctly , it was a works bike at one time ... But has been loved into the coolest 2 wheeled John Deer I've ever got to swing a leg over . Tony does do some fantastic work .... Glenn
  18. Listen to Lineaway !!!!..... (any 2t ....) When my 2t's don't start by the 3rd or 4th kick , I go there first ... Glenn
  19. Bet the throttle response got pretty bad ! .....
  20. I've got a buddy that is approaching 70yrs. old and is also one of the finest trials riders I've ever enjoyed the company of riding with ...He's had the same 4rt since we could buy one , and yes he knows a HRC engineer quite well and his bike is not quite stock ... But nonetheless IT IS a remarkable machine ! Still to this day it works like a sewing machine ... You get what you pay for ...
  21. That's what it did to me .... I thought it was my 'puter ineptness....
  22. Find a Fantic 200 , 240 or 300 ... All great bikes stock , and with a little tweeking , will do anything you need. And you won't lose $$$ on one .(hopefully) Glenn
