  1. i can see a Ossa Passat Diesel in my nightmares .....
  2. Ethanol Free premium will be your friend.. they don't need premium , but they run a tad cooler and happier . And as Do2 said , unless you build the motor to hot rod levels , octane booster is a waste , GOOD pump gas is fine ... Glenn
  3. As above , best trials helmet I've owned in 40 years .... Light , well vented and easily washable liner . Glenn
  4. KOOL .... and it's still a twinshock !
  5. If you already heli-coiled it , that's not going to do you any good ... Glenn
  6. Speedway on spikes .... SICK PUPPIES !!!!!
  7. I hate to be a grumpy old guy ....But I like riding my tweeked 240 pro better than my 97 section . Everything on the section seems to happen to fast , my clutch on the 240 is stable , progressive and totally a one finger deal . The section feels like a switch .The 300 front brake on it works better for my style of riding than the disc on the section , just much better feel for me. And with good shoes and a little extra effort water has never been a issue for me , you just have to know you may have a tick less power for a few moments ... And yeah I've been a mechanic for over 40 years , so my fingers are kinda strong and sensitive (women luv'em !). I may need alot more peg time on the section to get comfortable on it , but I have the feeling I'll sell it or let my son abuse it ...And I'd rather clean and adjust drums and lube cables anyday of the week than try to do a field repair on blown hydraulics... And we are riding trials , not enduro's or motocross ....And I prefer no-stop trials ... Glenn
  8. Finally got around to swapping the rock hard Dunlop for the X-Lite I've had laying in wait for a while now ... I cheated breaking the bead I set the tire between a couple of 4x4's and stood on it , while I clipped a old aspirator to the valve stem and sucked the air out of the tire and whalla !!! the bead broke right down where it was being squeezed Changed the rear sprocket(O.E.) too while it was off and lubed the suspension linkage . Got it all back together with new chain and counter shaft , just to open the shop doors to a lightening strike and a sudden down pour ): . So I guess the new tire can just sit with bike on a stand with 30 psi in it for a few days before I air it down ... Glenn
  9. Wow , I'm pretty sure she just redefined the term ' floater ' ....
  10. Thanks Biff , Mike has got me almost everything I need ... I sent you a pm... Glenn
  11. Hey Zippy , are there Team WGASA stickers available ? Or do I have to drive up there and become a official member ??? Glenn
  12. i've been using redline gear with great results . no drag , no slip ,smooth engagement , slick shifting....
  13. Not at all , I'm looking for some 1997 Fantic Section parts ... Glenn
  14. And I had the lock n load when they first hit the market a few years ago , I don't recall the jr. size one being available .But my enduro riding buddy I sold the large one to , loves it for his KTM ... Glenn
  15. On my Triton aluminum trailer , I have a track for the moto cinch's across the trailer , so I can position the bikes however needed. makes it quite versatile . Glenn
  16. i've had a set moto-cinchs for a few years now , and I love 'em ! I've had more than one 'new' strap break ... With the motocinch , the bike becomes part of the trailer ... I need 2 more set's , but haven't been able to locate any for a while . I had a risk racing lock and load previously , but it didn't fit my trusty 240 pro , so I resold it ... they are not adjustable at all , but if it will fit your bike , would be just as secure as the moto cinch... Good luck, Glenn
  17. Water proof marine grease .... and use too much , grease is cheap ...
  18. my old fantics always start with 1 or 2 serious prouds ... time is never a issue ...... maybe 3 on my section , 'cause she doesn't get much exersize ....yet ..
  19. Your best bet is to send your barrel and piston off to Langcourts , and have them duplicate the OE. 1/2 thou. clearance.. Fantics are tight And last almost forever with some love .....
