Thanks again for your time and effort in your hobby .

Great !!! Gives me a excuse to move back to the wild west ! (where traction is easy ...)
And the humidity is low .
-
I learned to ride in mud and snow ... and tend to find it the great equalizer these days .... I don't remember the last slick spot that gave me issue . I tend to just grin and ask whats wrong ?
-
Get him a oset or find a TY80 and start building it now ....
Get control before the "gotta go fast " bug bites ...
Find some little soccer practice cones and teach him to turn early , before he develops the bad habits we all have ...
I wish I had started my youngest (now turning 16 on a reflex ) earlier ...
But at my age I may just ride the novice line for a season so we can ride together at events , and I can tease him .!

Will the S-3 bar mounts not fit on a 315 ? The pic. above in the Fantic section shows them on my Section , Same forks as a old mont , are the triple clamps different ?

Wish I had been there !!!!

Jim has helped me a few times with parts and weird questions ...And I've been told I've got bad phone etiquette . Sometimes when your working on something , the phone ringing is a PIA !!! unless you've got staff to filter/answer calls ... And the TRS looks to be a solid simple modern bike . We'll just have to wait for it's performance to speak for itself .! .

Beautiful work Alberto !!! I drilled , beveled and polished a hole in my Sections frame yesterday to re route the clutch pipe and throttle cable out of the way of the forks/lower triple clamp . The old clutch pipe was flat from being crushed where it came thru over the top corner of the rad. cover .New pipe installed and bled , makes a much more natural bend now and is out of harms way , clutch lever even seems to feel better moving fluid thru a round pipe rather than the old flat one ! Took alot longer than expected , but the result is worth it . I'll post some pictures when I get this substitute computer working , My old one went up in smoke , along with all my data and programs ....
Now to put the new tires on the section and lube up the rear suspension bearings/pivots .

I just watched the vid again and paused a few times to look at details , unless you change the footpeg mounts , where is the adjustability ?
But I wish them the best of luck , if the motor proves reliable , they will sell me thinks ....

I'm supposed to remember everything ??????

thanks alot !!! I should've been there , but life got in the way....
Great to see a healthy crowd .
Now if it was only televised .

PS , The 'secret'!!! the nut on the rightside of the shaft is a jam/lock nut , remove that and then unscrew the shaft from the opposite end , the shaft threads into the frame under the locknut , thats how you torque the shaft when reinstalling , then put the lock nut back on ... don't tell anybody .....
i might have that bassackword IE nut is on the left ...
-
I agree! The fantic 200 top clamp on my bike was one of the best improvements to the feel of the bike for me , I did that way early in my list of mods ....

Great weekend !!! got home to a locked up computer !!$%***$! The ac worked great and was needed!!!! Rode like crap , but still had a blast , My son got some one on one with a young phenom type rider . He still hasn't shut up....
And Doug and all the other 240 riders that were there , What happened to our group photo and the bike swap test ride ????
Can't wait for sept. and I'll ride the section then ... (the 240 has been scrubbed and the dis-assembly
has started .
Glenn
ps. I'm most often the only nice Fantic at events , but there where 2 handfuls of us at ttc. , great to see.!!!!

Move the pegs . take your swing arm pivot apart and clean, grease ,repair as needed , Inspect the frame gussets at the headstock for cracks etc. measure your wheelbase .
If it's not cracked / stressed , ride the old girl and then see what you want to do , for the events you ride .....

I run 4 and 6 with nitrogen , If REALLY slippery , may go to 3.5 in the back ...
But I'm a old fart on a old bike . and she hooks up really good no matter what I do .
Now my section ( my modern bike ) will be a learning experience , As I've got a new set of X-lites to mount on her to replace the rock hard dunlops ...
Right now at 3 psi in the rear you might as well have a slick on her ... When it gets traction , I'm gonna have to learn how to ride again ...
Glenn
But play with pressure and see what your comfortable with , DON'T over think it ... learn to FEEL what works !
-
Minarelli Powered , maybe 1980 ... If it's really cheap , get it . not much to lose
-
Or you can run nitrogen and set it and forget it ....
