Check that your exhaust is clear and free flowing . I had a missing rubber blow gun tip give me fits on my fm330 . It ran just as you describe till I took the silencer off and found my missing blow gun tip lodged neatly in the pipe.... I felt stupid and relief all at once !

Isn't O'le TT above talking exhaust scavenging and not intake ? From experience I know that anti reversion Headers on a multi cylinder 4 stroke can be used to completely change the torque curve , But I remember some of the 2t exhaust back in the day were kinda weird . But if it worked , wouldn't it still be being played with ?

Biff ,
The NV shares drivetrains with the Titan and not much else . And that hood gives you cabin space like a pickup , no engine cover inside . Mine is a low roof version so it's just a tad bigger overall Than your old E van ... If you get a chance , roll under one and check out the size of the frame . You'll be surprised . And Yeah the it's body on frame , No unibody for me . Built like a truck should be .

spend some time looking for a air leak with some carb spray first . the stock dellorto is a weird little thing and I never got mine to idle correctly before my kid motocrossed it about and shattered a piston ... Hopefully the air leak is external ...

I'm here in the states as you know , I went and checked out transits before I Bought my Nissan NV.. I got a bare bones 1500 cargo van and absolutely
love it . I'm slowly making a camper out of it for trials weekends , and I use it for a daily driver too . With the V6 mine averages about 19.6 mpg over about 6ok .If you've got the space to park it , look at the big NV's . The little nv200's are tire eating monsters for some reason . I know your specs across the pond are different to ours , but give it a look and a test drive ...

My Son's streetbike was stolen out of a driveway sunday ... and the law says oh well ....
Thanks for the insurance I pay on it .

I'll cross that bridge when I get there !

Quick Eyeball says I've got a bolt in swap with some carb (oko) tunining ahead ....
-
COOL !
I got the motor at about 4:45 this afternoon at work . Took me about 1/2 a hr. to unpack Visual shows no external damage at all , looking thru ports shows new... Bore scope in ports and plug hole looks new . All 6 gears engage , and clutch functions . Can't spin it over loose on bench with plug in hole . Gonna bolt it in and wire it and see what happens . Seriously happy camper , I think the 140 miles on the speedo of the dismantled bike is true

OK ! the drill and dremal tools come out

If your in the states , try some works performance , built to spec (literally) and completely rebuild able , I love mine .
But Falcons work great too . Never tried Rockshocks over here .

Twinshocks , aircooled mono's etc. are going up in value because good one's are getting harder to find ... AKA supply & Demand . They don't make them anymore , or had you not noticed ?

But notice the power/effort/control he puts into his moves ... No wonder he's who he is .!

Do you folks think I'd be wise to mod my frame (aka drill & chamfer a hole ) for my clutch pipe and throttle cable as Bill Pye did to this one he built ? The 97 section has no fork stops , except for o-rings on the fork down tubes and they tend to pinch the clutch pipe and throttle cable at full lock with the stock routing ... The one little hole would be easy to do and makes sense to me before I install a new clutch pipe ... It is routed to the top of the radiator guard thru a notch that it doesn't stay in , this makes for a much more natural , relaxed path ...
Bill's bike ;

And Mine will look slicker than that when done . (I hope )

Went out to the shop a little while ago and warmed up the 240 and drained her fresh oil ... 300 motor should be here tomorrow .
Anticipation sucks ... I hope it's a solid motor and I didn't get had ... Maybe I should attach it to my spare frame and fire it up before I dismantle my trusty 240 !!!!

Jan's definitely got some skills ...

HMMM. That might work ... stock seat back on , exposed aluminum tank .
And is that your bike ?
-
OK ; so here I am almost a year later ... Reflex still runs fun / fine . But due to a young man's actions , it hasn't been ridden in a few months . One of the said actions is a spider web on the right side of the tank , that has lifted the decals and turned the side of the tank into a striped with yellow mess .
When said son was asked about the dent in the fiberglass tank the response was " I didn't do it !" ... To which I had to reply , you're the only one that has ridden the bike . ! So due to that and his total lack of grades the bike sits in the shop , just getting started by me once in a while ...(honesty goes a long way with me , the bike was obviously dropped again , and if he had been honest about it , I'd of handled the tank then , without protest .)
So anyways to the point of this post , I just received a tank / shelter from Shedworks so I can have a buddy bike , or a bike for sale . (depending on report cards ) . What methods do you folks that have the same setup do to secure the tank and shelter ? The tabs on each end of tank are calling out to me for a couple of snug zip ties to secure that in position , And then just a bolt thru the rear fender on the shroud ? , That fits much snugger/tighter to the frame than the previous tank .
What have you folks done with success ? Just curious , 'cuz I'll mess it up anyways
