  1. Well here you go .... I just ran out to the shop , in the rain , and kicked the alligator on my way . But without moving everything out there and just pointing and shooting , here you go . I don't remember how how I geared it , but I did convert it to the next larger chain size thru France trial classic , 420 I think . And I left the springs stock with 10wt , as it was being set up for my 110lb daughter . Have fun , I hope this helps . Glenn
  2. You would ... but can you ride it in reverse ....?
  3. Honda's don't mess up except for a weak PDI ....
  4. Bob's Falcon's will help you so much with traction ...I've never ridden hockeyboys latest evolution of the reflex , but have modded my son's 200 to mimic it as far as carb & tune . (unless Bob has done something unorthodox ...) and for a basically stock reflex with some intake tweaks , it performs quite well . I should have been at Chip's this weekend , but life gets in the way of my riding ... Build the $hit out of yours and run ave gas in it and it will love you back ... Glenn
  5. Steve : forget the hoopala ... Just finish it and throw it at some muddy rock and roots !!!! and post a picture after ... Glenn
  6. When you get it going you'll love it ... until 3rd gear ! then you realize it's only a fifty ! But they will rev to the moon . it will improve your technique , and make you appreciate your normal ride too ... Kinda like a pedal bike with a push . Glenn
  7. What a life Biff .... But you know what always makes me smile ? In our sport , we can go anywhere in the world and just get a bike and blend in and ride a event . and be accepted by our peers . And thats a good thing Glenn
  8. Remind me not to let my 15 yr. old see that shot of what is possible on a old Honda !!! Glenn , We ' re already waiting for our second cool tank /shroud for his reflex ... "DAD I DIDN"T DO IT !!"
  9. Timing problem ? New plug ...

    Coil Readings

If it works , run it , or ask the folks that rewound it . And I seem to remember the motoplat and Dansi had slightly different specs ... Glenn
  11. And from what I know (not much) the puller will fit the 300 motor I just obtained for my 240 too !!! I like it when all my ducks line up ! Glenn
  12. My 240 is one of the last ones , and I've been led to believe it has the same larger outer cases as the 300's . So I think the dimensions are about the same , with any luck I won't have to mod the frame except for adding the head support . Time will tell when the motor is here . I'll trial fit the motor , make it work , ride it , then take it all apart and go thru the motor if needed and finally paint/powdercoat the frame (that I keep putting off ) ... Maybe by the time I retire , I'll have a competitive 340 ... Glenn
  13. WELL ... It just inspired me to buy a running 84 300 motor and top mount bracket for my 240 ... And if I remember my Fantic specs right , 300 motor = less HP. , more torque , and a stronger clutch ...and showing 141 miles on the speedo Thoughts ? Glenn ;
  14. I still believe that if a 1/4 of us was capable of 1/8 of what Bou can do , this would be a major sport ....He could most likely beat 99% of us on a honda trail 90 with bald tires. He is a phenom , period . And a nice guy too .
  15. If you don't get it sorted , let me know , I've got a unmolested one in my shop that wants a crank kit ...but is still a roller . Glenn

    Launching Soon

I restore old jags of all kinds and other British iron for a living and I can understand Jodi's passion wholeheartedly . Nothing makes me feel better than when a client picks up their car and is just about speechless ... And actually appreciates the effort put into putting the correct feel / sensation back into the ride ... (but I will put a supra turbo and 5 speed in a E-type , someday , just for me ...) Glenn
  17. Beautiful bike ! now go throw it at some rocks and muddy climbs and enjoy your hard work !!!! you can always wash it . Glenn

    My New 241

I have a 300 plate in my 240 hub too , and after some minor tweeking , I'm more comfortable with it than the disc on my Section , Just more feedback for me and a better feel . But it stops the bike just as good when dry , the disc is a notch stronger when wet , But in wet muddy conditions I want control , not lock up power .... Glenn
  19. Airoh, + 100 ,,, Best trials helmet I've ever owned ... well vented and light ... As for the rash , try a dew rag of a material that suits you , I know a few folks that use one all the time .... And wash your liner if possible , to get all of the manufacturing chemicals out of it ... May take a few wash cycles . Enjoy the ride ! Glenn
  20. Maybe my first NEW !!! trials bike ...
  21. Thanks just for being you , I have a foggy memory of you competing against Don Sweet , early 70's in New England I was born in 60 and started riding trials around 12 or 13 . Tl 125 . A blue one ... Glenn And I will get a mont to compliment my Fantics someday !!!!
  22. Make sure your premix is right , Forks move , swingarm swings , and all the nuts and bolts are tight . Then ride the damn thing and see what it needs ... Competitive bike right out of the crate , may need some elder bike love ... And make sure the brakes function .
  23. My 97 sections front disc rings when riding , serious floating rotor ... The sound distracts me but does not affect my balance or the performance of the brakes ... I should probably get some new bushing's or just take a few out and see how bad they are worn ... The rotor ringing at a standstill with just the clutch applied , no brakes , is annoying to say the least ...
  24. From a good source , this appears where all the parts have gone .... http://www.equipementmotard.com/index.php?cPath=219
  25. Doesn't Honda have a Pro level pay out plan ? I seem to remember reading that somewhere ... But you know how my memory is ...
