i've got a set of the S3 clamp on grips on my section . The little bit I've ridden the bike , I like them ,they are just a tick larger diameter than all my other grips .... Works well for me so far with my extra large hands ....

check out the South eastern trials riders website , lots of florida links and info there.

Hi , I'm a ex palm springs Brat , Can you still ride from windy point to Idlewild (sp?) up the mountain face ? I used to do it on a tl125 ...,but that was in late 70's early 80's .... pre fringed toed lizard .....

In the photo above it looks like they used parts of both frames to mount the motor , look at the front mount ....

Plain and simple .... NO !!!!

Lets just put this debate/argument to rest . at least until one of the public gets to own a Vertigo ...
I think the bike is gonna ROCK !!!!

I'd have to see the engine with / set it the frame . Get the float bowl basically level , line up the sprockets and start fabbing mounts from there ...
And to think I had a Xr 100 for the boys Before I found the Fantic 50 . I sold the Motor out of it ,(ran , but needed a o/haul )And then cut it up and used the steering neck and front suspension and wheels and hubs for the Big Wheeled TY80 I built for my youngest son who now rides a Reflex .
http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/20753-serious-ty-80-mods/ Thats another story , give that one a read if your bored ! ... But the bike worked great . A ty80 engine would maybe fit with some work to ...

Now you guys got me thinking about the FM 330 50cc in my shop that needs a crank for the little minarelli ... I'm thinking a xr/sl 100 engine might just be the bomb for the little bike ... 'cause the chassis is so fun to toss about ...

A few years ago my son went to start his Fantic 50 after I had done something or another to it ... It would fire off and barely idle and not take any throttle at all ... after a carb clean etc. it was no different ... Out of the blue I pulled the exhaust apart and found the missing rubber tip from my blowgun logged in the inlet pipe to the silencer ... And I still have never figured out how it got there ...
Beer and wrenches don't mix ...

On the air flow issue , there is no oil on the intake side , and their are o2 sensors that deal with contaminants , the just run heaters and measure accordingly ... Their are Diesels with O2 sensors !!!! And it may not have to be a total feedback system either ...

Isn't the whole point about RIDING the section ? not parking and deciding what to do ? Walk the section , make a game plan and give it your best shot !
That's what the sport is about . Be honest to yourself ............................... !

Not being rude or anything , But let's learn to use what we've got first ... Save your cash !!!!

Classic ! I hate when that happens ...

When I learned TRIALS the CONTROLLED rollback was a feat I worked hard at to master ! (slightly pre Bernie days )It was a way to make a to tight of a turn where you had no room to make a floater ... make a 3 point turn ... But when I got back into trials around 2005 , I learned after riding what I thought was a clean ride, I had 5v'd the section due to rollling backwards ... I didn't hop backwards (beyond my skill set !) I bounced my front tire off something and rolled back 2 or 3 feet and then tightened my turn and exited clean ... Twinshocked may remember my expressions after the ride , " cause I was thinking in the rules I grew up on ... But his dad was observing the section , and even though the few spectators there applauded the ride (really rare), I took my 5 and moved on ...
BUT STOP WITH A FOOT DOWN IS A 5 !!!!!! PERIOD !

Alot of Fab work there , But the Fantic Factory did it to the 240's back in the day ! So they just made their own kit ....
Keep any and all Fantics alive and well !!!

If your in the US , try the Trials shop in New York , if in the UK look up Bill Pye Fantic ...
Glenn
Just noticed the sticker on the bike , so your in cali , give "the Trials Shop " in Locke ,NY. a shot....

I've stalled my 240 ,restarted it while balanced (thanks forward kick ) and cleaned the said section , One of my RARE good days . But if I had put a foot down to start it , I'd of fived myself ! Stopped with a footdown is a kickstand !!! 5 5 5 5 Isn't it all about balance and control ?
Glenn
And PS Twinshocked , are you and the crew going to RI. ?

About a year ago I had a yamaha crotch rocket roll into the shop I was working part time at on the weekends , with the complaint of a lack of power ...
I took the bike for a test ride and came back into the shop confused ... , The resident Harley guru chuckled and grinned , then asked if it dislocated my shoulders in a 50 mph wfo run ? I said no , but the bike sure isn't slow by anymeans ... After a bit of testing I pulled the tank , replaced the fuel pump and filter and thru a new set of plugs in it just because and then went for another test ride . IT blew my mind what about a 10psi change in fuel pressure made on that efi bike with variable valve train or intake runners (whatever yamaha calls their intake system ) It spooled up so quick from a stop to be almost dangerous , but at speed it would hit it's powerband and want to launch skyward ... I think that must be why all the "cool" biker guys around here now tend to destroy their crotch rockets now by lengthening the swingarm by a foot or more and adding huge width back tires ... They don't handle worth a $hit anymore , but the no talent types can accelerate them ...
I'd take my old RD350 again any day over some of the new stuff... Back in the day when the Kawi 900's first came out , it was still the stoplight to stoplight king and it handled better too ...

Well after playing on the section in the yard for a few hours yesterday and checking and marking all the vital fluid levels for a after ride double check ...
And fiddling with the idle mixture to much to get it how I like , I've come to a conclusion ! She's got no coolant leaks ! But I'm sure the main seals are just starting to leak . gearbox oil went down noticeably and she smokes a bit more than is normal , (not like a freight train , as before I cleaned midbox ) . And while playing with the idle mixture and checking further for any vac. leaks , I removed the plastic flywheel/stator cover and with the bike idling sprayed a light shot of carb cleaner behind the flywheel as best as possible and Noticed a change in idle ... Not drastic but it's there ..
As I've got all the parts here to do it already and my fabricator hasn't produced a aluminum tank /seat that I'm willing to pay for yet , I guess it's time to replace the 17 yr.old seals . Luckily on the section I can change the seals without splitting the cases , like you must on a 240 pro motor ... OH well the magnesium cases wanted a fresh coat of paint anyways ... And the bike is fun to ride ... I'll get to use it yet !!!

There must be some residual chemical from the Hydoforming process affecting the fuel ....
And being a Beta you just can't unbolt the tank and clean/flush it ...
Good Luck ...

I may be a old fashioned prude , but I run all my bikes on AVE gas .... Just because it doesn't turn to $hit in a few days
And All my bikes start first or second kick .... no matter how long they've been untouched ...
Just my two pence on fuel .

I just added a Fantic 300 floating backing plate to the front of my 240 ... It works Fantastic ! and I have not yet installed new shoes on the plate .But the ultimate front drum was on the last yamaha mx bikes with a drum brake , it took the Fantic function to the next level , But the 300 plate or a correctly modified 240 grimeca plate will do all you truly need . And yes mine works as good as the disc on my section ,(aka two finger stoppies) but has a much better progressive feel . But as stated above , all the parts have to work correctly and not be worn out ...

Does your 200 have the same 35mm marzorochi's as my 240 ? and did you get the caps and adjustable spacers ?
And which one of their spring sets did you get ... I just see hard or progressive springs listed, does not state magicals ...
Thanks for your time and I'm glad your happy with what you bought .
