  1. And here is the other link you should look at .... http://www.cvotc.org
  2. When I was a kid (70's) growing up in Conn. , Exiter RI. was always on the calender of Trials events , Sometimes I wish we had never moved to SoCal ... Glenn
  3. Lake Houser ATV park in NC is a location We use for events all the time , and if your on a trials bike , you can ride there for $6.00 a day . And we'll be riding back in Monroe this year too , I've got a friend with a large piece of trials paradise property there too . And some of the BEST riders in the country hail from the mountains of NC, it'll amaze you , some of the past legends that show up at our events . I live down near Charleston , SC. so it's a minimum of a 3 hr. ride to any event for me , So I tend to do all the 2day events I can to make it worth the effort . STRA puts on some great events too , and there was a map of event locations on their site , But you must remember alot of these easterners just work on their bikes and practice a little in the winter months ... Good luck with the move, Glenn
  4. But what happens if I use a old Fantic or Yamaha spoke !

    Cooked Engine

My son's resemble that remark ... (don't worry dad can fix it ...)
  6. But I can't afford to move !!!!
  7. Yeah , I'm leaning towards a Black frame with red accents....
  8. http://ps-dbs.maps.arcgis.com/apps/OnePane/basicviewer/index.html?appid=350418affc254bcabbf70d80863896ef This link will take you to a interactive map of the US with trials folks all over the country , some with contact info ... Hope it helps some ? Glenn
  9. Great reply Woody , We need some Real trials Events worldwide , Not X-Game practice ...
  10. http://metrolinatrials.com/ , http://www.stratrials.com/ And there is a Virgina based club too , I can't find my link to it . (I'm computer challenged !) All a great bunch of Folks Good luck with the move , been there , done that same one . But to SC. Glenn
  11. Welcome and watch that Fantic addiction ! There is no known cure or 12 step program to help ! I know firsthand , I've got Fantics from the trials bicycle to the last Section , with a few in between . And mine talk to me ....(when we're alone !) Glenn
  12. Zippy ? what else is new ? I always thank the observers etc. , but as of late most of the events I've ridden have been peer scored , so we don't have much if any queue , But I have found in other instances , just getting slightly VOCAL and stating where the end of the line is works fine , and most won't try it again . Embarrassment can be a powerful tool Glenn

    Sections...?

I just obtained a brochure for a '98 C@STA , and by the specs and the photo's it's a fairing-less section ... Can't wait for my tank/seat to be done as it will drop a few pounds off the whole bike I wish the new folks at the reins of Fantic motor would move on with a new trials bike , to go along with their killer enduro models !
  14. anybody gonna loan me a bike and a entry ? I'll scrounge up the airfare to get there ! nevermind , just one of those bucketlist things ... I've got a few more years ...
  15. Have some faith , my Trusty 240 Fantic loses oil ... And it doesn't leak a drop . She does smoke a wee bit , so when I get around to it , the cases get split and she gets new seals , But until it gets real bad , it's just on the to do list . And that's a long list ! Glenn
  16. Bigplonker, I'd say that dot hit's the spot ... And Laird387 , your photo's and history lessons are SUPERB ! Thanks , Glenn
  17. Yep , and it's a tad shorter than the 240's . As to the plugs , In the 240 I use a Denso IWF 22 and the section takes a Denso IQ20 . Both are iridium and the same plug has been in the 240 for a few years now and still looks and acts new ! I do check it once in awhile as I have extra compression washers that I use when indexing plugs , always got to have a fresh one Try one , you won't be disapointed ! (especially in the 240's weak ign. system ) Glenn

    Cooked Engine

Phil0925 , I would tend to say he bought a bike in proper working order and cooked it , I don't think it's your problem , especially if he rode it as he told you . Glenn just my 2pence
  19. Damn !!! I missed the "pertinent input " part !
  20. Well I was bored after doing the laundry , so I went out to the shop and fired up the Fantics .... Trusty 240 took 2 kicks and a putt around the yard . Section however took 3 kicks , but I only had on my work shoes ... And then it got a putt around the yard too . the section has alot of compression , hurts my foot without riding boots on ! Bosisio Motori is working on my missing cooling hoses for me , can't wait to make her sound again, the top 2 hoses are just mushy enough to scare me ...
  21. I'm still thinking of the frame black , to go with the black rims ...
  22. along with the FIRE hazard ! Clean the carb , the fuel tank , petcock , a new fuel filter . Then some fresh premix fuel and give the bike a chance to live again !!!
