Put a Denso Iridium plug in it , and if all else is correct , you'll never worry about your plug again .... The one in my 240 is coming up on it's 4th or 5th bithday ! It get's looked at once and awhile , But still looks new ! (but yes there is another one in the tool kit on the bike , but I've never needed it .)
Glenn
PS., We all have off days ... I've done faceplants early in events , and then rode fine for the rest !

I Took Tyler up to my friends trials paradise property up in NC. over the weekend and played ....
Some new poor videos of us on my you tube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/TrialsTimes
It's amazing what about 10 hours of riding with no pressure can do for a young mans confidence and skills

It's the curse we must live with !!!!

Being radial tires , there could be a separation issue if used consistently at high speeds and building up alot of heat in the tire , But I really can't see that affecting trials tires at the speeds we generally drive our bikes at ...

If you can wheelie a Vespa (profile pic.) you gonna have fun on your mont !!!!

Depends on the condition of the bike , But I repack my silencer's and inspect and or clean the rest up annually or there abouts ...
Glenn
-
Not Familiar with that exact set up , but I'd say it's missing a oring and some type of spring/tension clip .
-
Took the rear silencer off the section yesterday afternoon to repack/ seal it up as it drips oil onto the swingarm from it's bottom most joint when the bike gets hot ...
Found it had been repacked along time ago with house insulation and packed WAY to tight . picked all the old stuff out with a coat-hanger tool and cleaned it up and repacked it loosely with some good FMF packing , that looks like loose yarn ... Sealed it all up and test rode her , Better off idle response and a little quieter too ! Now to find time to do the rest of the work it wants !

I've got Fat bars on my trusty old 240 pro , Tag bars and adapter clamps . And I've got a set of S3 adjustable mounts waiting to go on my section , when I get around to it ....
I like the roomier feeling and extra body movement I get from good fat bars . And it may be my imagination , but I think I get alot less vibration thru my hands with them too , Make s for a more comfortable ride for me .

Carb mods complete ! and bike runs 98% better ... I may shim needle just abit to eliminate a steady 1/3 to 1/2 throttle intermittent lean misfire(pop).
But she starts first kick every time hot or cold , and the off idle hesitation is 99% none existent , it does it on the stand slightly with no load on the motor , but not at all while riding . And the overall performance and response was well worth the $30.00 and a hour or so of my time ! And now for a K&N air filter and a bit more tweaking on fuel delivery ...

Thanks for that not much cheaper than my cost for michelins ....
Are they worth the price ?

Thanks Zippy, I never saw that photo and it and parts diag. pictures I've looked at will get me started ...
The factory manual I've got never shows a photo of it , 'just say's to remove it to get the sidecover off .
I believe it hooks up at the end to catch the tab on the kickstarter as you say .
Thanks , Glenn

Do We know if anybody in the states sells them ? My Section has some really hard old tires ....
Glenn

OK Reflex owners ... I've got the carb improver kit in hand along with a #105 main jet and my drill bits for the pilot ! I'll post the results of the carb mods tomorrow ... And the new needle valve is a drastic change from the stock nail looking thing the bikes came with !
But I need some help from you reflex/Tlr owners ! this bike is missing the kickstarter stop plate , so the kicker goes past center and will fold in on you !
And it can hurt when it does it ! So as the piece is made from unobtaimium now , if someone could PM me a closeup photo of one and or a photo of it laying on a piece of graph paper , my son's shin's will be forever grateful ! I've got no problem cutting out the piece , just don't know it's exact shape and mounting configuration ! and trial and error may take along time !!!
Thanks , Glenn

Is he trying to put Flipper manufacturer's out of bizz. ????

As the Zipster said , Ride the bike if possible ... But even though you have MX / Trail experience a trials bike is a completely different beast ... The Torque multiplication factor in a trials gearbox can be a shock , even to experienced riders . They respond to every minor movement or action you make on the bike and are not forgiving at all ! ('cause your normal corrections may just make matters worse !) Alot of experienced cross over riders are quite happy with a 200cc bike to start out with , you get to learn technique and then how to control a more powerful bike if the need arises .
But most of all , Find some other trials folks close to you and get out and ride with them , and leave your pride and ego home in the garage , cause some of the simplest maneuvers may totally baffle you at the start , but once you get your feet comfortable up on the pegs , you'll laugh at how silly you felt at first ! Trials IS the best training for ANY 2 wheeled discipline , everything you learn will make you a much better rider , no matter what you are on !!
Get a bike and get riding !!!

So did you just lube and line up everything up nice and proper ? or just disconnect the cable end ?
-
gasgasstu , here you go ... As luck would have it though , I swapped the ty for a reflex for my son as he still out grew it , But it's still in my trials family ,waiting for a friends grandson to outgrow/or get bored with his Oset !

I'll bump my build up here for you ... But you have to read all the pages !!!!
