That would be AWESOME !!!!!
Thanks ahead of time ,!

And Jim sold me all the cool bearing pieces in the throttle on my old fantic ....
-
I don't know what to tell you on that front , but I was un aware that WP made shocks for the reflex ... I just bolted on some built to spec. WP shocks on the back of my trusty fantic and they are phenomenal (not that my scores will improve !) but they were about $500.00 for the pair ... The Falcons that I had on her before hand worked great too , until me or a friend bent one just enough to leak ., and my Wp's have heim joints in both ends, so ya I've got to take them off and clean and lube the bearings once in awhile , but they work great and show no signs of stress yet .
-
Had a buddy come over tonite and help me set the sag/droop settings on the old fantic with the new shocks on the back ... what a differance it makes setting them up so the front and rear drop the same with my weight on the bike ! I'm even happier now than I was when I first bolted on the new shocks ...

Could be ethanol residue ???
-
Contact B&J racing in TN. , they can set you up with some Falcons that will work great on your reflex , and bolt straight on . If I remember correctly , there may be some clearance issues with some other shocks out there . And stay away from the cheap no name shocks on ebay , all they are good for is to keep the fender off the tire , useless otherwise ...! Good shocks will transform the bike , and you get what you pay for .

Good luck and have fun on the old honda

Make sure surfaces are completely clean and free of oil
apply a 2 to 3mm bead , routing bead on inside of boltholes , avoid getting excess into case bolt holes (can hydro lock in hole and crack case...)
Use sparingly , assemble and torque to spec, no waiting to tighten . On a bike case i'd wait at least 24hrs before adding oil , but some say as soon as it has ' skinned' .
And IMHO threebond is good , but I believe Toyota Black F.I.P.G. (form in place gasket) is the best on the market .

Yes it would be nice to be able to purchase a new simple basic bike ... TY175 , Fantic 200/240 , cota 123 etc. etc... I would think you could sell as mny as you could produce , But sourcing a suitable aircooled and properly geared powerplant would be the major stumbling block , and all the lawyers and regs. that would be in the way...
Glenn , (thanks)

I just put 2 video's on youtube , before the TY80 gets torn down for for a proper engine rebuild and all the final details ... But the little bike does actually work as I envisioned ... And now the search starts for p6 minerelli 50cc parts to rebuild the little fantic too !

Did you that expensive Montesa elbow grease on that project ???
Looks SWEET ! Now go get it dirty ...

It's about a 12 hr drive from here ... Kinda short notice to take off Thursday , Friday , Monday and Tuesday. I tend to take my time when traveling !!!
But at least with the new NV , no need for motels anymore ! TTC sounds like a plan , Schedule a week off around a ITSA event and make a vacation out of it . The Cabins and local area are really nice and peaceful out that way.
-
!!! So Doug ; I haven't received the gas card to get there yet !
But I would love to be there ....

That is a sweet TLR .... What exhaust was used ?

Can't wait for mine to get here , so I can see what I'm missing living on this side if the pond ...
Thanks ,

And our event last weekend was at a ATV park ... The LITTLE kids on 400cc+ 4x4 quads with no helmets and flipflops on kinda scare me ...almost as much as the adults? on the loud baffle less ones (also helmetless and flipflop ...)
But a 50cc rigid class for trials riders would be a ball !
-
' can't explain why but I had to put it on reserve 10 miles earlier than I ever did before. '
'Cause you actually rode the thing WFO for a while !!!! ???
Glenn
And interesting lunchtime video entertainment !!!
-
I know you probably have but double check your timing , to much advance can do what you describe too. It is a pain to do but you can check one with a light at upper rpms . May take 2 people to get a accurate view thru the little timing mark hole ....
Have fun nonetheless...!
