on my 198B theres just an hole on the frame on the L/H side i was thinking of changing mine how do i atach a L/H brake pedel?

hi yes ive seen this vid ive had a electrice ignition before off bultaco uk if i do buy 1 i think ill go with them. as ive heard to many bad reports about the eletrex world igniton. and bad affer sales. cheers for the video

ill have to look on the magneto patrick i came off a 199A mine was inported to the uk in 1983 am not sure if it had the motorplat ignition on from new but some say the later modals came with motorplat because Femsa whent bust. so my guess is it been on since leaving the factory. but if i do deside to put the eletrice igniton on ill be keeping the motorplat igniton so ill mark the plat so i know where to set it if i ever put it back on. am having the forks hard chromed as there weeping oil its not the seals there pitted at the bottom.

the only thing that needs doing is the rear wheel needs tuning.and a new tyre i will take it to be done and have the hub relind at the same time evrrything else is fine runs sweet as a nut. credit to its former owner who as been rebuilding bultacos for 40 years. i will keep this 1 as its rare both engin .and frame numbers match. i also have a original headlight for the 198B

hello patrick yes i know what you mean my wife wasnt happy at first but shes ok with it now. if i had my way they would be in my living room.

what i want to know is will a femsa magneto fit my 199B as its got a motorplat magneto on at the moment? the reason for this is because the electric igintion from bultaco uk will only work with the femsa magneto and i have a spare femsa magneto.

ive heard good and bad coments on the electex world. ive only heard good reports on the bultaco uk once so that speaks for its self. the other quetion i want to know is will a fesma magneto fit a 199B as mine as the mortorplat on it. i was told that the eletric igntion of bultaco uk will only work with the fesma magneto i have a spare 1 off a 199A so if that fits ill buy 1

hi mate there should be 2 screws on the L/H side 1 is bigger than the over the bigger 1 is your idel screw the air screw is on an angal thats why you probely cant see it if you look close you will see it if the bike is runing good as you say dont touch the air screw. if the bike dosant cut out the way it is i would just leave it. but if it bothers you just run the bike untill its warm then turn the big screw clock wise only a littel to you hear the bike ticking over abit faster hope this helps.

was this the 198B that was on ebay the other week? from durham? looks like it i was tempted to buy it but got to much going on. in my option i would leave the 11T 39T am not a good rider but i find this set up works for me its just trial and error but not cheap to buy to lots of sprockets. dose the bike run ok? what do you plan on doing to it full restore? these bikes are rare i was going to sell mine but ive desided to keep it. id be sorry to see it go

ok thanks ill see if i get anymore info first before buying. the ones over hear are alot cheaper than 395 euro

hi i also have a 198B and it dose have 11T and 39T ive never had any problems with the gearing but you could buy a 40 rear or 41 -42 sprocket 12 front but i keep it 11 39 when i got my 199B that had 42 rear didnt like it hope this helps.

hi guys looking for some addvice im thinking off buying a scorpa easy 1998 250 rotex mortor looks ok and been told its in good runing order. havant been looking at it yet but plan on doing. i have bultacos and had a 210 gas gas pro 250 i just want to know what to look for should i be aware of anything? is the 1998 easy model ok? like i say the bike looks original but cant tell untill i go and look at it so any help would be good.

hi all ive put new mikuni carb on my 199B its the VM26 with 130 main jet and 35 pilot seems hard to get it tickin over quiet it runs great with the mikuni but just cant seem to set the air screw any body know how many turns out it is from bottom?

hi mate wellcome to TC not sure about the bultaco sherco but im sure some 1 on hear will help normaly the engin number should be the answer to the make and model and year. or the frame number. but sorry thats about all i can help you with. hope this helps a littel bit.

hi fuse thanks its got the bing carb on it the bike dose run very well ive just put a new slide in her and needel and needel jet. the exhaust is ok just abit loud so i want it repacked cheers bondy.

hi Glenn thanks for your feed back the engin is in good runing order its been rebuilt before i bought it. im not saying anything bad about classic trials its just that ive never had any dealings with them before. so im just asking to see what others say.
