hi anybody know the corect colour for the 199. think its silver but not sure. i know many of you boys wont agree with me but its a 199A but ive allready got a blue one. i want a change ive allways fanced the one with a red tank what colour was the engin?
hi all i split my 199A motor came apart pritty easy troubel is the crank shaft is stuck in the clutch side. the bush behind the weight is stuck on any one know how i can get if off with out doing any damage? i did aply some heat and tryed taping it out with a rubber mallet. i havant got a pulling tool was hoping to get it off with out paying out for one. also am going to be changing all the bearings how do i get the lay flat bearings out? do i aply some heat and pop it out?
hello all am thinking off changing my coolant on my 210 gas gas pro 250 how do i drain the coolant? also on refilling do i just fill the rad up to the top? and do i put it in slowely like you do with a car? am new to these gas gas bikes. am used to bultacos
no problem. glad you sorted it the cap is in a hard to get place i use a 2 litter bottel cut in half with some tubing throw the cap. takes a wile for the oil to go down but saves striping.
hi mate wellcom. i have 2 bultaco sherpas both 350 199A the one just before the 199B the gear box oil filler cap is abit awkward to get to. its just under the middel down exhaust pipe on top off the engin. should be a black plastic cap or metel one with a slot in it to open it with a flat driver. but you will find you cant get to it with a driver. unless you take the side cover off and you need a long driver. i just tap it round from the side with a flat driver dosnt have to be verry tight. for the manual i dont think they did one for the 199B they didnt do a manual for mine eigther. you can get a manual from bultaco uk but that is only for all 5 speed bults but should help you with most things as all bultacos are more are less the same. hope this helps you? dare say other members will addvice you if you have anymore Questons just ask
hi mate thanks for the info ive fited a new tubless band put the tyre back on took in the petrol station to blow it up and nothing was happening. the val is in but i think it was the hose was dogy so ill try somewere else. ill let you know how i get on
thanks for the info but lucky i had some spare spacers out off other forks i had i put two in ecach tube .and ajusted the preload caps its done the trick. may need to back them off abit i dont know why they make the springs shorter than the std ones. but eh we got there in the end.
hi all i need your addvice, i have a 210 pro 250 will the New wheel affter this year fit my bike? or would i have to mod it? also i was told a Montesa rear tubless wheel would fit but i dont know anybody any ideas? dont really want to pay for a New one think there about £500 way to muchany help would be good
hello again guys ive sorted the forks i put two spacers in each fork job done. now there nice and bouncy may need to back the ajusters of to make them abit softer. oh patrick i know wich gray plastic spacers you was talking about i had alook on todotrials website they only come with the springs. not the caps but the uk dealer dosant have them. may be he dose have but for got to put them in . i bought the preload caps of him and they didnt come with the decals i got them in the end affter about 3 months. wasnt his fault really as he get them from spain and they hadnt sent any. anyway is sorted now just have to take my motor out again
hi all need your help please. ive clean snaped one off my rods on the cranck case. i do have spares but gonner have to have it drilled out first. ill be taking it to shop to have it done any ideas on the best way to do this? shame cause the engin is great i do have to spare engins. any help would be great
thanks for that thought i was going mad. dont see the point am having to pull them up only abit ill put some spacers in hopfully that should do the job.
thank guys that was a big help. the only reson am taking them of is i bought some magical springs and the prload caps. the srings are shorter the the others ive ajusted the prload caps all the way down but the forks dont feel right the springs are not long enough to recoil so am gonner put some spacers in to take the slack up.
