hi i have a gas gas 250 pro i run mine on 75mm to 5lt of petrol i use ipon semi synthetic sill smokes but not alot. i was told only use fully sythetic if your really riding hard. or it may be your carb is runing to rich. have you checked your plug? if its oily it could be rather the carb is runing to rich or the oil is not burning of so you may need to use what i use. if you not riding the bike hard hope this helps

thanks i will loosen the bash plate. the engin is in the frame but nothings been tightened up yet am just waiting for a torque wrench to come. then i can torque all the bults and nuts. thanks again for your help

hi patrick it says in my manual it should be 12ft lb for all the cylinder head nunts and bults i checked with bultaco uk and he said that this was the torque setings

great help thanks. the motor is in the frame ive loosley put the mounting bolts in with the nuts loosley on. know do i tighen the mount bolts up before i tighten the head up? and the engin sump plate is also on this has been tightend up

hi all the head bolts on my 199A. do i really need to buy a touqe wench? or is it ok to just tighten them up in order? how thight do they have to be? i mean i know they have to be thight but i dont want to buger the threads up as i had to have the helicoiled. the last owner had helicoiled them him self and did a crap job. so now they have been done proper ive just put the motor back in today just got the head to put on and the exhaust.

hi yes i know the right side should come off first but it didnt. am left with the crank in the right side. the bush is still on And i think this is whats stoping the crank from coming out so ill have to buy i puller cheers

hi all ive just split my engin today split it ok took all the gear box out ok. but the crank shaft is sill in the right side crank ive heated it up tryed to tap it out with a rubber hammer but its not budgin anybody know how i can get it out? also theres a bush on the shaft on on the clutch side dose this need to come off?

hi all ive got a 210 gas gas witch has been sat in my kitchen since last october. i start it up about once a week the oil in the window is a clean red wich oil would this be? or wich is the best oil to use? ive read on other threads that the gas gas clutch ratel is this normal? because my bike does the same but when clutch leaver is pulled in the ratel stops. i do plan on using the bike when i get anougther towbar fited.

hi guys ive put new o ring new oil seal And new distant bush with the collor is facing the bearing. the oil seal is facing inwards openend. ive also put new seal on the verry end. ive done this twice And study the manual so all in the right way. am gonner have to strip the engin i do have a spare engin in bits so i would use the shaft of that one. or would i be abel to get a new one? any tips on striping the motor? i know to take clutch off weight And magneto. then undo all the nuts on the left side head And barral off then in the oven for 15 minets then carfully split the crank cases.

hi as you all know ive had problems with an oil leak coming from the front sprocket. ive done everything i can think of all seals have been changed that i can get to with out spliting the motor. but am thinking the bearing needs changing or the shaft has worn. as anyone had this problem?

hi dont think its block it was working fine on my other bike. am just gessing really am gonner try the orginal exhaust on. to see if that makes a diffrance. if not then i can try somthing else just seems strange theres no power like there was before. i havant changed anything else on the bike.

hi would an exhaust taken off a one bultaco 199A then put on a diffrant 199A cause power loss? even tho the exhaust was ok on the bike it came off?

yes your right i do have a manual. but i need a wiring loom first unless i make my own

thanks guys ill just be fiting front And rear lights. ive got a brake light switch but not sure were to mount it? ill get the bike up And runing first. the lights i have are from a ossa but shoud be ok ive got the light switch. also got horn but its not the bultaco one witch fits to the bracket on the frame. good job really has the frame am using hasnt got a bracket. so ill have to mount the horn some were else? i take it there wasnt a battery on the sherpas?

hello guys ive got a 210 gas gas 250 pro how much oil dose it take? the oil throw the glass is red witch oil will this be? also i have a puncture in the rear wheel. witch is tubless its leakin air throw the spokes will i need a new rim tube or will i be abel to take it off And clean. the rim? And replace oil one?

hi all ive got a gas gas 250 pro 210 i got the bike last year but havant really been out on it round the back yard. but ive noticed the front wheel has some movement back And forth. is this normal? theres no movement from side to side. anybody any ideas???

should the seat go between the spacer Aand Airbox?

it not the origanl seat its for a plastic tank from bultaco uk. its not the seat that the problem its the tank witch is not Quit forward enough to alow the seat to push under the spacer on the air box. i think its the tank rest hat the back there to bulky. i do have some thinner ones ill try them first i have an origanl seat on my other bike but thats got a fibreglass tank. witch works well.
