  5. Powder coating a gas tank is beyond the good manners I guess.

The tank of a bike is well let's call it the face of a nice girl.

Hopefully that statement and the one to come will not get me in any trouble).(

Only very little make-up can improve the appearance but putty is the opposite.

hi i understand what you mean im just gonner have it sprayed not powder coated cheers

  6. hi all the bottom nut on the yokes the one that holds the bearings in anybody know what size c spanner id need to tighten it up? i know you can use a big screwdriver but ive just had the yokes painted. and dont want to damage it or the nut?

  8. frameb.jpg

hope this might help. i have only stripped the bike and do not know the history or anything about it. the engine and chassis numbers are the same, and its a 1975 model, 150.. 250 slimline. and thats all i know realy. its not a bad bike and i got it cheap to do up and to use for my first trials.

The more i look at this now the more i think i'lll change it. Would't be over hard to make a T piece

and a bar from the T piece that would bolt to the head and a bar to go from the head to the frame..

Have to leave this one with me for a bit...

hi again i dont think you have the right fram for the engin seems weirod theres somthing wrong somwere there is only to typs of headsteadys one for the 350 witch i have .and one for the 250 both look same but there not the to holes witch fasten to the head are diffrent closer together on the 250. and wider on the 350 the lenth is the same i think not 100% sure but if your saying the frame. and engin numbers match it must be the right frame. hope this is of help
  9. barsandbits.jpg

still doing bits and bobs as you can see. bars and rims are going to be black anodised

for the time being. The wheel spindles have been treated and plated and the threads have been coated in

dry film lube. the rest of it it just tarting up the paintwork.. still waiting for the

swing arm to be sorted. then its that and the frame..

hi ive just been looking at your headsteady can you tell me what the 2 bits of metal are thats been welded on?

  10. hi guys i have bultacos. and i am looking to buy a fantic i know a old mate of mine from years ago is selling his 364 can you guys tell me what size of engin they are and the year?

  11. Yep!

In my personal experience with bash plates that are an integral part of the frame this is the way to do.

If You ever do a complete rebuild and want to remount the engine to the frame (where the bash plate is a bearing part of the frame), make sure you have mounted the bash plate first, (just mounted, the bolts are mounted but not thigtened). Thgis makes the assambly much easier.

One thing to note as your bike (model 199a) have the "weak/thingy" headsteady, please make sure that the headstady is mounted without any stress/force!

The headstady has to fit on spot and the bolt to the frame has to be thigtened at last, (which may result in unthigtening the cylinder head too if the hole of the headstady will not match to the bolt hole for the frame!)

Doing so you will avoid any overstress to the headstadyplate.

hi thanks for your help i thought it would be that. ill let you know how i get on cheers bondy

  12. HI guys ive just got a new bash plate from todo trials in spain im having troubel putint it on the engin is in ive tryed it on a spare frame and it gose on just have to pull it abit with a driver throw the holes. i spoke to dave from bultaco uk he said they can be a buger to get on. and he allso said undo the bolts that hold the engin. i think this may be the problem theres abit of play before everythings tightend up to allow you to get the plate on i think this is my problem you agree?

  13. Hello Bondy, the Sherpa`s had lights from new. I know the 213 Alpina`s were a 6 volt system and you had to put a black blanket over you and the bike and start it up, turn the headlight on making sure you were in pitch blackness to see if it was on. They were horrible. I know because I used to ride one on the road. They did not use a battery. In the Bultaco forums there is a wiring diagram and a picture of everything you need somewhere. They were very basic though and needed a voltage regulator in line as well. Good luck. Bully Lover.

hi bullylover i dont think ill bother sound like to much hard work. so ill pass just thought it would of been nice to have lights. thanks for your addvice bondy :madnoel:
