  1. It seems they look for a venue that will easily accept all the huge trucks ,then try and create some sections ,some of which are inevitably man made.I don't want to see arena type sections in outdoor event,I also want variety not just big steps which generally are clean for the top few,and 5 for the remainder. Its gone so far from what most do it's almost a different sport.Reckon the WTC needs a rethink
  2. They are very different bikes to ride, you might get on with one a lot better than the other. You really need to ride them both on some sections before you decide, personally I don't like either, but a lot of people do.Once you've decided which brand it's down to buying the best condition one you can afford
  3. Can you try the stator from another bike?
  4. It's in for rich on a Keihin and it's a very sensitive adjuster, half a turn is a lot.I find mine needs slight adjustment according to the weather to keep it how I like it

    250 Rev3

Standard water pump is adequate ,no need to upgrade it.Get the fan working ,then it'll be fine

    250 Rev3

No relay stat is just a switch .Take the refund offered and look elsewhere. From experience I would say don't bother with old cheap bikes, they're not made to last very long.especially if not well maintained .Not every owner has the skill/time/inclination to maintain the bike properly which shows up quite soon.I think you have to afford £3000 + to get something worth having unless you're very lucky. You have to be very quick to respond to a bargain if you see one

    250 Rev3

If it's been ridden for some time with the fan inoperative and overheated you might be better off getting a refund.Beta electrics problems weren't unknown and spares aren't cheap.Does it run properly before it overheats?Old cheap bikes can sometimes need a fair bit spent on them to get them right, works out better to buy one that's OK.
  8. Any modern 250,don't know your budget, buy the best condition one you can .Try a few so you know which brand you like best, they've all got strong and weak points
  9. Are you sure the boot is on the carb properly?Sometimes it doesn't go on fully on the side you can't easily see(the shock side) leaving a gap

    Trs chain adjusters

    Copaslip works well
  11. Is the new set brand new or new to you?If brand new it's definitely a good upgrade, second hand may be different. The early Braktec stuff was variable quality, the new is good.
  12. Seems like Toby was never going to be higher than 3rd no matter how well he rode
  13. Never been that much gap between them, scoring 2 seems very questionable.Losing a world championship in that way,Toby must be gutted.Be interested to see a video of Grattarola's ride and the observing
  14. That's got to be a relief, put it back together and enjoy it.Agree with what you say, they just feel right
  15. Hard to know when this damage was done, and where's the bit of casing now?You either put it back together and hope for the best or strip it right down and repair the casing and find the broken bit.You don't want that bit in the gearbox
  16. As long as there's no high spots on the idler gear you needn't replace it .You can clean up the idler with a file, check all the other cogs in there too.,only needs a tiny fragment stuck on any of the cogs to make an almighty row.Inspect them with a magnifying glass
  17. Kickstart gear still works with the first tooth missing, kickstart has to rotate further before it engages.Sometimes the tooth falls to the bottom of the casing, more often it gets caught up generally between the clutch gear and the crank gear, which makes a hell of a noise. The kickstart shaft does pull out,and without the casing to support it does wobble about. Can you post a pic of your kickstart gear?
  18. It might have broken a tooth off the kickstart gear when you kicked it over ,which then got jammed and forced the shafts apart,The weakest point (the casing) broke. The kickstart gear is known for failing especially on a 300

    Is Ossa still good?

Don't let your heart rule your head,go for something more mainstream
  20. One of the best bikes made, need to be pretty good to get the best from it,you won't want more power
  21. Blatant cheating to decide a World Championship and the governing body does nothing, what a farce
  22. Needs someone to video his riding
  23. They must feel that Dunlops are as good or better than anything else or they wouldn't use them.
  24. The 250 is more than enough for most,it will be my next bike
