It's not just flooded from all the attempts to start is it?Turn the fuel off, take the plug out and kick it over with the throttle fully open, does it spray fuel out?
-
Low entry events lack the atmosphere of a larger event, also most observers are friends or family of the riders,so in a low entry event observers are hard to get. This leads to some sections being self scored and sometimes suspect winners. The honest riders get fed up with this and don't turn up ,so you get less riders.
Seems to me there's too many small events, sometimes on the same day competing for the same pool of riders.I feel it would be better if the clubs affected could come up with a calendar to avoid this, maybe running bi monthly instead of asking the same few to organise it all every month
-
There's some people that like them but to safeguard yourself you'd need to offer a low price.Consumables are pretty much what other brands use,so no problem,Ossa specific parts more difficult.Of the few people I know that had one all were glad to see the back of it through unreliability,When they were right they were very good,if they'd survived and developed it further it probably would have been successful
-
Probably better to get the desired s3 head insert to lower the compression, more expensive though
-
Does the AJP master cylinder have a different bore size,if it's smaller the clutch will be lighter but will bite closer to the bars.If it's the same bore you gain nothing other than a better made cylinder
-
Since the pull got heavier with new plates,I would think the clutch pack thickness is too great.Sherco UK should be able to tell you what the thickness should be,doesn't need to be far out to make the clutch pull heavy
-
Lanyard works by being open circuit until the wrist strap pulls the magnet off, then closed circuit. On a motor bike this shorts the ignition to earth so no spark. You need an Oset specific Lanyard
-
You need the original weight spring to start with, set to about 10mm of free sag without the rider.Just set the damping somewhere in the middle and see how it feels,if it rebounds too quickly it won't grip as well. Both front and rear want to compress equally when you push down on the seat.
The forks have damping adjustment one side and spring preload the other, doubt they've been revalved.Id start with the back end then adjust the front to suit
-
Irc are good if you ride mud,Michelin are better on rocks
-
Sounds like its way too rich, does it have a temperature sensor failure sending an incorrect message to the ECU,does it have fault code information on the system or is it too basic for that
-
Not on for the organisers to check for stolen bikes even if they could.maybe if the register of stolen bikes was available to all bikes could be checked at the point of sale.I don't know anyone who would knowingly buy a stolen one,I think the expensive ones mostly are generally taken by professional thieves and go abroad very quickly, others by local scum and end up being ridden illegally and quickly thrashed to death
Its not just trials bikes, all bikes are at risk, wish the authorities pursued these scum much more, but there's not enough police to target these people
-
It will rebound quicker and will have less traction unless you increase the damping to suit
-
Remove the remains of the kickstart gear and oilstone where the bits were.Ive done this and it worked fine,no noise and free as well
-
Was great,thanks for the effort
-
Easier to sell the 125 and buy the bigger one
-
I think the main reasons the Spanish are better are the cycle trials background, practice and event venues that are more like current world round venues, and the support from their governing body. Our lads need to practice/ride on the same going which means spending a lot of time abroad, which without support is impossible for them.
I also think the Spanish factories prefer Spanish riders, unless UK can produce riders as good as Doug Lampkin to get them interested
-
How about putting it back on with a hinge
-
Motors not going to last long trying to breathe in all that c--p.Was that after a muddier than usual event?Looks like the mudguard broke behind the air box so it should still seal,or am I wrong?
-
Be alright with a slow action twistgrip.Condition is very important when buying secondhand trials bikes,if it's that good and the price is right buy it .They were considered poky back then, but bikes have become more powerful since then.My son started off on a2002 270 Beta at 15 after a ty80 and was fine
-
Don't know how many hours, but about 70 trials.Felt better than you might expect after that use,the build quality other than the parts I mentioned (which have been upgraded on the later ones) is good,it still looked smart too.The bike is great,it's the attitude from the factory that's the problem
-
Definitely make sure you can get spares.Clutch covers crack allowing the hydraulic fluid to drain away, gear change shafts break, both failures would make the bike unusable if you can't get replacements.I replaced both of these without stripping the engine, neither job is difficult on 2014 I had, bought the parts easily and cheaply from U.K. Importer, but I'm not sure if he is still involved with the brand.Dont know if the factory would deal with you direct, worth asking them
They're a great bike, only sold mine as I was unsure about the future for Jotagas
-
Is the slide returning to the bottom completely, you should hear it if so.If the slides going down enough to close off the airflow it must be drawing air in from somewhere. As suggested check the carb over,or maybe borrow another one
-
I had a 2014 250 which was a great bike, but not without a few niggles, such as air box lid that didn't seal so had to be duct taped which looked awful and it was easy to stall at very low revs. The pluses were grip, excellent suspension, linkage well sealed and long lasting, very good clutch and in my view great looks and steering.Only sold it through lack of faith in the company to be there in the future,Haven Trialsport had the few parts it needed in stock and were very helpful.Resale value is not good which makes them an expensive choice,I feel the TRS is not greatly different and is the better choice now
-
Seldom use the stand,as it often sinks into the ground and the bike falls over,The venues I ride have plenty of trees so I use them
-
Wonder if they have the shock set up properly?Ohlins are usually excellent
