How did Rossi's leg touch Marques front brake lever when it is guarded so that only the rider can operate it?
-
I think there will be a2016,but not sure how soon,or how long potential buyers will wait before they choose something else.TRS and Vertigo will be available before GasGas I think and are a more modern design
-
WTC has a poor turnout these days sadly, both riders and spectators. Its so different to what most riders can and want to do.Talking to my local riders shows that about 30% take any interest in the WTC and less than that have been to watch. Those that have seen it say it's largely a big step contest with a badly applied and variably executed scoring system.I last went at the last event at Hawkstone, which was brilliant, but it seems to have less appeal now .

Certainly take a long time.till they break even ,the enduro market is pretty much KTM territory albeit a larger market with some bikes used for trail riding too.Hopefully they know what they're doing and it proves successful, but I can't help thinking there's too many brands in the game for it to be good for all of them, which has been discussed enough already
-
It's a great sport but don't expect too much too soon.It looks easy, but certainly isn't and is more physical than you might think.Your first event will be a struggle and terrific fun.Dont go in over your head,if you feel a section is too much for just ask the observer for a 5.Take notice of what others do and try and copy the good ones.Dont be afraid to ask for advice,we re a friendly lot.All the other posts advice pretty much sum it up,you're getting into something good where age and ability don't limit your enjoyment

Haven trials in Lincolnshire are the importer and advertise full spares support.2012/3 models weren't great,2014 onwards are very good, didn't help with previous importer pulling out, hope the issues experienced are now resolved.
-
Take it back to where you bought it.It must still be under warranty. You ve done the obvious things and it's still not right
-
Be a while before any money comes back to them.Got to establish links with sub contract parts suppliers, wait for them to be delivered and assembled, get them to market and hire and pay employees.I ve heard it said that their government helps out with €100'000 when a new business above a certain number of employees starts up,which if true helps a bit.Good luck to them, there's a lot of riders who loved the GasGas and don't really want anything else.Im assuming they'll build 2015 spec bikes which are plenty good enough for most
-
Agree on the Tech forks, don't feel the Reiger shock was better than the Ohlins on the Raga Rep which I think was the best bike available, and notably better than the standard model
-
2016 ,if and when produced wouldn't be much different from the 2012.The differences in between didn't make it a better ride, just cheaper to produce.Still one one of the best out tho
-
Get the wolf brown leather ones and neatsfoot oil them, they'll take a bit of breaking in,after that they'll be fine and you ll have saved a few quid.If you can't can't be doing with that the formats are fine straight away
-
Get proper trials boots, motox boots are too heavy, soles are designed to slide on the surface, you want the opposite when you dab, they're not flexible enough and don't allow you the necessary feel. When you get a pair you'll realise
-
Whichever brand you feel the best on.All the above points about the Beta are true and is the head over heart buy,but only if it suits you .Youve got to try them both in some sections,do you know anyone who would let you do that? Its very easy to buy the wrong one and regret it,I think most of us have at least once
-
Reckon the TRS is more than enough for the majority of riders.Vertigo has a higher spec and is more complex, which will attract some but could possibly also frighten others off,All modern bikes are more capable than about 95% of riders if we're honest about it,but good to see more choices for us .Hope they're both a success
-
Much the same but with a better rear shock and Keihin carb
-
Put it in 5th gear before starting it ,sit on it,pull the clutch in and rock the bike to and fro, you'll feel the clutch free.Return to neutral and start it
-
Safest buy is aBeta or a Sherco.Gas gas are meant to have an announcement on 18 October regarding their future, spares are ok at present.Jotagas have a new importer(Haven Trials) who report good spares availability.I have a2014 250 and rate it highly,no problems at all.Really you have to test ride them all to decide, but they're all far better than the riders. When you 5 something it's not the bike.
-
How often did you change the gearbox oil?it lubes the main bearings on these.Did hear rumours that others had a problem with some suspect quality bearings being used at this time, which given their problems which have subsequently come to light may or may not be true
-
Crank cases are different, gearshift shaft exits further back.Clutch cover looks the same,as does the head and barrel which I think are S3
-
Does the noise diminish if you pull the clutch in with the engine running? Its possible the gearbox bearings have been damaged by the watery oil if it's been run like this for some time .If it goes quieter with the clutch in the problem is in the motor not the box.Could you post a video so we can hear it?
-
The only people who know a what a top rider earns are he who earns it and those that pay it ,anything else is a guess
-
Does seem an odd move just to avoid tweaking the carb sometimes.Would have thought you could get as Ossa very cheap though, not sure about selling it on when you next want to change but hope it does what is wanted
-
Any news on when they will be available? If they're about a month away it could work out very well, couldn't have timed it better.Gas Gas future is still uncertain ,Vertigo aren't ready yet,not sure when the other 2016 brands will be here
-
The announcement is going to be 16 October, not September
-
£5000 then,competively priced,should be suceessful
