Hi fellow trials enthusiasts . Now that Pat has officially signed back on with the fantastic Sherco team I believe RYP has renewed the push for funding .This year to have real shot at 125 title all events will be ridden so several fold in $$$ is going to be spent largely on travel as Sherco is supplying the bike and parts and the movement of motorcycle to all events. I will be trying to update our <smageshercosales.com> website to better allow people to follow the season, posting pics and press releases of current interest so look it up soon. Noel Smage

Plans are for Pat to ride the Tish event, Phil may have a conflict with some high profile Pastrana sponsored Pit bike race if that goes off. Pat is spending the next 3 weeks in and around Barcelona getting dialed in with his Paxau 125 so he can show the Euro boys a bit about US talent ,he will be splitting time between Joan Pons trials academy and also staying down near Cordova with old friend David Chavez ,could be a battle who will end up minding for him ;mostly he is getting valuable riding time in before the 1st round March 30th .

JR its been an annoyingly cold and icey winter here in WI so instead of riding shed we have been bench pressing and dead lifting dead SCORPAs as in Wills Next Up video (kidding actually because there are almost no Scorpas in WI Do know of one not dead but close)
-
Could some one direct me to the 2008 Spanich Championship Calendar please .

Hey Ron's will he be riding the first 2 rounds as well ( contest entire series) ? Which city is the TTT based out of ? Looking forward to a big year on WTC circuit ourselves as Pat has not started the 290 since New Mexico basically. Only been thrashing the 1/8 liter bike ( which needs to find a new owner ) Now we wait and see which team Colton moves on with? I would love to see C Webb try some of the Jr rounds as he would do well I think. .best of luck keep feet up, Norm

I have heard from a reliable source( the wildman who finished 2nd at the Last Man Standing) that there was some wording about wheelbase length that may be the biggest criteria and some other details I forgot already . But yeah someone should find out what the bike needs to be and we can then build one from a trials frame perhaps ?? Obvious need is a bike that doesnt get last to the first corner so a major port job and maybe a lighter flywheel is needed . Part of their thinking is to get each type rider to cross over and ride both style bikes problem is the Purse is almost certainly NOT going to be squat for trials only class.

Just adding that Craig has just wrote one of his best reports and The Photos are quite good also. Have to wonder if Dustin had just said something funny or made a strange sound to have the others looking his way and I see it is great that Bill and Dale made the move to the top class. Craig you forgot to add that the next 'killer trials' is this Halloween weekend at our famed rubbish pile.

Thanks Ron Ive been harvesting hard the last 2 days and hadnt heard much will be interested in fuller coverage.

I am almost %100 sure i could have lowered my best lap on my KTM 200 instead of a trials bike, simply by jumping the rock garden, and powering down the start straight. Coltons ride cannot be counted, city trials. Every lap he crashed at least once, possibly multiple times each lap. I am also positive that without crashes and with at least 3 laps of practice, he could have ran his normal pace as well.

Luckily the procrastinator in me kept me from booking flights yet so we dont have that to deal with. Now we can just focus on the TDN and enjoy a long weekend in the Isle of Man...

With Hawkstone only 1 week before the NATC Donner event it is not possible to do we will save energy and resources for a later trip. Have entered Belgium so will have a better chance at a top 5 placing for the year/. Cheers to all we had the opportunity to spend some time with and thanks for helping us feel welcome the events were quite enjoyable and we are home safely . Noel

Right on! I wouldnt call it a "big adventure" though...more along the lines of a "Smagical Adventure" as will be documented in Smagical Adventure 2, due out this winter. Pat ripped it up, so much so that i may consider giving him a free copy of "Phil's Smagical Adventure" number 1. www.myspace.com/smagical . A HUGE thanks to everyone out there who made it possible for them to make this trip, everyone that donated and wished him luck, it wouldnt be possible without all of you guys. You are all rad.

I entered this video contest for a dream week prize. If you guys could take a minute and vote for my video, that would be awesome of you. The deadline is July 8th and I think you may be able to vote once each day, not positive though. Tell anyone you know. Anyone who votes get a free trials training session at the Smage Farm, bike provided. Thanks a lot guys. Here is the link. http://www.up4anything.com/?entryId=816

Hey what a trip we had I would like to thank Ryan and Brad from RYP for the support ,getting a bike and everything alse along the way. Brad was a big help in Guatemala ;driving the Beemer and wrenching the bike, carrying the backpack and covering dinners ,also Dan Brown needs thanking for being involved helping do some section timing and water bottle chores ; He made it to every section both days and was right in there for every step of the way. Also am so thankful to Alvero and Alex from Guatemala as they made things wonderful for us the whole trip, plus the use of Diego's car (although plenty scary) Team Smage

Great shots of his new on/off helmet as the screen fills Tony C. will be happy if he visits this thread. Unfortunately these shots were taken just minutes before Phil slid back down and bruised the side of his heel which pretty much ended his training for the week.

Thanks Mark those are a group of great photos much more interesting than ones posted by Craig and Dan imho great angles and action packed nice a nd crisp. As far as pics of C.F. there could have been plenty of him if he and Will didnt leave for Georgia or somewhere . I guess they are getting partly bored with riding TTC too much , how lucky to be that close . Turns out the training days hit a very nice set of days temperature wise now I see even way down there it is below freezing at night yuck.

Dan will have 5 days to get some sort of audio as we are heading there for Pats Easter break and also I think Brad Baumert has agreed to wait at the Guatemala City airport for us and Dan will be travelling to the site in the same rentacar so more time together there. Looking forward to a nice trip just need to stay away from poisonous snakes and large insects. Also listened to entire OTP cast #4 yesterday and thought it the best yet. We were fortunate to have Keith and Sarah come by and stay overnite in the rig in between his Chicago and Green Bay ERE Shows. A small riding patch on the knob behind our barn was pretty rideable for the boys and we did snap a number of nice pics I should probably put on our site soon.Cheers

Hey does anyone have the day 1 FIS results? Anxious to see pro results .
-
What he said . Plan on going if you can swing it,should be quite a time .
-
Hey Team Mizell Nice job w/the website I really like the pics of splattering up onto that suspended log end that looks very tricky. Will that be a semi permanent site ? It has gotten me to sign up for a domain and get the boys to put one together should be up soon, of course Alexz Wigg and Ross Danby both have real nice ones.'

If you want rebuildable shock check out the TRP we got a loaner from Lewisport and with a little adjustment it works VERY GOOD and it wouldnt take much to beat the reliability of the questionable stuff that Sherco sends on the bikes.
-
I heard he 1st did the most consecutive moving kickflips in a row w/o missing (14) next was highset OLLIE of 27 3/4 " then longest Ollie of 11 ft 4 " AND at the freejam comp was picked overall winner so it sounds like he swept the show what fun that must have been. He will be home in afew hours with the details/

Nice work Dan and Griff keeping things of interest fresh ,thanks lets hope many people find and listen !!!!!!!!
