  1. Yes, oil splashing around the gearbox and a little gearbox pressure forcing a little into the tube
  2. try to find out what caused it as well so it does not happen again. maybe get some bracing over the cracks. It looks like a stress crack caused by the lugs holding the top of the shock
  3. Looks like a 2009 colour scheme, in 2010 scheme changed to black I think. Also the earlier bikes had a band back break, the disc is a later model feature
  4. Yes, but a better more compact option might be a co2 pump. There is a small cost for cartridges but it is less than a dollar a piece if bought in 20's,
  5. Go pro do their own editing software, download from their site I believe
  6. I have no issue using the chest mount, I don't find it tight at all
  7. I disagree with the "gadget for gadgets sake" comment, it is a very useful part that the manufacturers would do well to install from the start as surely more oil capacity is a plus. Also the leaking because of poor breather positioning is fixed with this relatively cheap accessory
  8. In the interest of getting the bike running, why not just file a little off the plate itself rather than modding the case. It looks like it would only take a little filing to get it in place. I know it is supposed to fit but the alternative is to wait for a replacement that may end up having the same issue anyway
  9. I would imagine that Adrian will get you one as the US importer, he does such a good job for ossa in supporting the brand
  10. I am no bantam expert but all other dogs I have seen have 2 arms to keep them in place, looks like there could be one missing where the flat part is
  11. Ah!......sounds familiar, I put 10 mm risers on mine and felt much more comfy, more upright and balanced. If your bars are like in your profile pic they look to only be a little further than I have mine so risers and a little turn back may make all the difference
  12. You need to throw your leg over one to see for yourself, the first ossa I had I knew it was for me the moment I got on it, I didn't think the pegs were too high or together front too low, it just felt right to me, and very light, so much so that I bought a new 2013 factory model which is the dogs b****cks
  13. Good job, new powdercoat and sticker job looks great by the way
  14. C spanner makes sense, I am not sure of the size though
  15. I think the term "spanner wrench" is confusing us, as a spanner and a wrench are the same thing depending on which country you are in......explain please!
  16. that is exactly where it goes, I am amazed that you perservered for 2 years trying to get it to work with just the airscrew!
  17. The hole above the airscrew is missing the screw to raise the needle
  18. I'd sell you my TY mono if you weren't so far away!
  19. I will dived in here as I have had two ossa's myself, the first a 2011 model that certainly had some starting issues that were eventually addressed between the updated maps and the easy start system. I also heard that some early bikes had gearbox issues but I never had any problem mechanically or otherwise with my 2011. I like the bike so much that I traded up to a 2013 Factory R last year. I am in Canada and am fortunate enough to have the importer less than an hour away so spares are generally not an issue for me. Trials tribulations in Church Stretton I believe are relatively close to you and are fantastic to deal with, I am in Canada and they have shipped parts to me very quickly. They also seem to have a very extensive stock of parts as can be witnessed on their website. LIke most modern bikes the spare parts can be quite expensive depending on what you break, I don't thnk the plastics are outrageous, in fact I think the most overpriced part I have seen is the gear change lever, although the one for a gas gas pro is a direct fit at half the price so there are options. IN my opinion the good outweigh the bad, I would buy another. JSP on here has also had two ossa's so would be another candidate to give you an opinion. I will sit back now and wait for the naysayers......cue: dabster and Eddie Lejeune
  20. I think the white tube is the fast one and the black the slow one
  21. oooooh.......handbags at 20 paces.........
  22. not wearing a helmet doesn't make it any cooler.....!
  23. Costa Special Parts list one on page 22 of their catalogue: http://www.costaspecialparts.it/eng/prodotti.htm
  24. I would guess less than 100 quid, trialstribulations.net have all the kit necessary Alternatively you could also just buy the rear bendy mudguard which is a direct bolt on fit with no modification, although I like the look of the new seat base/mudguard better than the old look.
