I would back bleed from the nipple upwards using a large syringe filled with brake fluid, just attach to the nipple, open, and then pump the fluid all the way back through until the reservoir is full

HI Deon:
It's not in the manual, the info came directly from Ossa Canada, there is a document on the Ossa Canada website with the info at this link: http://www.ossacanada.ca/Ossa%20General%20Quick%20Tips%20Guide%20R5.pdf

3mil at the bolts would be excessive, but at the disc rim it may be exaggerated so could be normal. If memory serves me the front disc is a floating disc so some movement is normal
-
If that does not work then 20 quid for a new set of reeds after 6 years is still a cheap investment, and probably due
-
And yes, buy the breather and a length of pipe
-
Spend a quid and put a piece of pipe back on the breather........

I made a new one for my daughters ty80 from thermoforming plastic. I heated a rectangle over a broom handle to get the bend and then just cut to approx shape, drilled the holes and voila!

Are you sure it is not just "frothy"? being churned around gears and a clutch doing a few thousand revs per minute will whip it up in no time.
-
Why not save some cash and just take an angle grinder to them and sharpen the teeth a little?
-
Easier way= 1 litre divided by 80, so as follows:
1000 (ml) divided by 80 = 12 .5 - so, you use 12.5 ml or cc of oil per one litre of gas
Multiply as required for the number of litres of gas you have
-
Weld some new metal on the back of each rest and then grind flat until the sag is reversed and both are pointing slightly upwards
-
No dipstick on my daughters ty80 so yours may not have one either however just above the oil filler on the casing it should say 500cc of oil required, this is what you should put in, 10w/30 should be fine, that's what I use
-
2 litres will last you forever so you can probably afford to run a little through until it starts to come out, it shouldnt take luch to flush through, then put the screw back in and fill er up!
-
I am not sure, there probably is but I would just use some new coolant, it's cheap enough
-
I have!...easy job, undo the screw on the waterpump and let the fluid drain out, when it stops draining I leaned my bike over to both sides to get the last bit out, then ran some new fluid through to push out the last of the old stuff, put the screw back in and filled it up. ran the bike for a couple of mins to pump the fluid around and then checked to see if it needed a top up. 5 minute job.

No, tick over is generally set by the mapping software so your dealer should be able to set to your personal liking. For me, I like mine a little faster so that is how it is set
-
definitely bent, part where your foot goes should be over the side casing when folded in more towards the red exhaust guard

Hi JSP, I will try to get some pics up about the process, unfortunately I did not take any when I did it so will have to dissasemble. To get it to fit with the ECU still in place required a modification to the bottom portion of the filter and a mod to the top portion (cage and foam). The major issue with the new style is that with the ECU in place the new filter is too long (or tall) so you have to actually shorten the filter foam to about the same height as the old style filter so that the top of the filter rests below the bottom of the ECU.
The wiring loom was the new kit I was referring to, I would imagine in the UK the full kit (including new style filter) is around $150?
-
I have but it was not straightforward and required some modification of the 2013 filter. It works great but would be much better with the ecu moved as per the new bikes, however that piece of kit is very expensive
-
-
You don't actually need to remove the ecu, it will pull past the ecu on the way out and will squish past it on the way in
-
In case you are interested the new flexi fender is a straight bolt-on to the old style seat base. I just installed one

I have no idea what Whiskey Throttle actually is, but if he is getting into trouble why not turn down the potentiometer and then build it back up as confidence increases?

At times this forum is a cruel mistress!
