  1. Oh crap, think my rear wheel bearings have gone.

  2. Could start by looking at the Beta forum.
  3. Mountain biker but have been known to get on a half pipe etc in the past.
  4. Thank you and everyone else that has helped me out, think the funnel modification thing is a great idea and will be making myself one. Thanks again, Andy.
  5. Glad my concussion has finally gone.

  6. http://www.gasgas.com/Pages/Technical/trials-suspension-tips.html
  7. I was told by someone where I go Trials Biking that using trials tires on tarmac can wear them out a lot Quicker than riding off road, but having never tried it, I can't say for sure.
  8. I pulled the plug lead off a Go-Kart I once had because it was stuck at full revs and can honestly say that it's not advisable, you can imagine the plug sparks once for every stroke of the piston and at full revs will be doing several thousand RPM, I was zapped god knows how many times in just a few seconds, luckily I was ok and would hate to imagine what it could have done if I'd had a dodgy heart or had been a child. personally I would try stalling the engine by either covering the exhaust with something other than a bare hand or applying the rear brake if it's in gear.
  9. I've only been riding a short while but really do prefer using the back brake especially were I go Trials biking as the terrain is a mixture of mud and chalk and has been wet and very slippery in places. I found using the front brake the wheel locked up (maybe a beginners error of apply the brake to hard) and the front wheel would slide which wasn't to bad if going in a straight line but when cornering the bike would try and slide out from under me and I would end up putting a foot down which is not what I want to be doing if I'm ever going enter an event.
  10. Do you think a combination of all info I've been given would work i.e castrol MTX Part Synthetic as recommended by castrol but use only 650ml as recommend by Gas Gas. Cant' find 5w 30 non synthetic anywhere.
  11. Found that one already and unfortunately there is only an exploded diagram.
  12. ATF ? please explain as I'm new to Trials. Thanks, Andy.
  13. Where in Worthing ?, as that's where I live.
  14. Thanks for the reply, I would go with what's on the Gas Gas site but according to castrol 800ml is the Manufacturer's recommendation and says REFER TO TECHNICAL, which I would if I could find some sort of manual online. Everyone and every site says something slightly different, why can't this be as simple as I think it should be.
  15. Hi all, I've only been riding bikes about 2 months, started by sharing my friends Montesa Cota 315R(97) and have recently bought myself a Gas Gas JTX 270(97), so far have managed to get out for 1 days worth of riding which was really good and to be honest I do prefer my my bike as I'm 6'2" and the handle bars seem to be a little further away and unlike the Montesa I don't feel like I'm going to go over the handle bars everytime I brake hard. The biggest problem I'm having is trying to get good info on the type of oil I should use in the gearbox/transmission, someone where I went trials biking had the 250cc version of my bike and they said to use 10w 40 but on Gas Gas website it says "Always 5W30 (Not 10W40), 350cc for the Pro, 650cc for other models, normal motor oil (Castrol/Penzoil etc). It is not recommended to use synthetic oil." The nearest I've found is 5w 30 semi synthetic, but on the castrol website it says to use 800cc of MTX Part Synthetic. I'm also unable to find a manual for my bike online. Someone please help. Many thanks, Andy
