Hi, yes compression is fine, intact we got it running tonight, the crank was full of fuel, we tipped it up side down drains the crank and it fired up. This has now shown another problem it will not rev. We have tried it with and without exhaust no difference, tried moving the timing no change, cleaned the carb again no change, changed the plug no change. What we have noticed is the reading from the coil when testing with the meter are different to other coils, does the beta one work in a different way, how would you test the coil? What reading should we get? To sum up we have fuel We have spark but not every time when kicking by hand Clean air coming in No blocks going out My fuel to oil mix is 5L petrol to 100ML oil Any advice to why it's not building revs? Cheers Paul

hi,i will try some fuel direct to see if that does anything, i have renewed the earth points already, It has the ducati cdi and it was re-wound by west country windings. With regards to the postion of the timing plate, what is the correct postion? how can i check its correct location?, i have it screwed down in the centre of the slots for the screws. If the wires are wrong then surly i would not have a spark, is this correct? Is it possible i have a air leak in the crank, would this stop it starting? Is there a mix of fuel the beta runs best on? Paul
