    Sherco St 2011

And I think that rims that are anodized right to the outer edges like that will look like crap once they've scuffed their first rock. Best of balance. Neo
  2. Why bother?? Why would Sherco redesign the casing like that now instead of going straight to a new engine??? Sure it's great to have "die -cast and machined aluminium in a single cycle" but they didn't really have an issue before...so why now? My guess is that the new case has been designed for fuel injection to get the small end and big end continuously lubricated somehow. Doing this in a 2 stage (years) approach so in 2012 they'll have a fuel injected engine that already has proven reliability for most internal parts. Smart move me thinks. Best of balance. Neo

    Sherco St 2011

Hmmm... I could be wrong but it looks like the coolant line coming from the water pump passes directly underneath the exhaust port. Great idea with the filler cap although what happens when the bike is upside-down?...how does this tank breathe? Yes it looks great (it does every year) but without fuel injection it might struggle to win my dollars. ... FI is along time coming and quite frankly I'm getting bored of waiting. Best of balance. 5. Yes I don't think you'see any noticeable problems but the fine filter will clog up a lot quicker.shercoman2k8, that GG Filter theory of yours sounds just about right to me Best of balance. Neo
  6. No worries feetup ... all's cool with me Best of balance. Neo
  7. And I wish that people would concern their lives with more important things than spelling....but I'd guess that that's even less likely to happen any time soon.
  8. I think the Jitsie Air filter is pictured and (fitted buy most) inside-out. Here's their own description.... - Course (Grey) outer layer to catch large particles and resist clogging - Finer (yellow) inner layer to trap the finest of dust But as pictured the yellow Finer filter is on the inside....making that the first layer (in the direct of airflow) and the Grey Course layer is on the outside. Any duel stage filer that I've seen starts with a course layer first so I've just turned my one inside out compared to their picture. Because it make more sense to me that way. Any thoughts on this gents? Best of balance. Neo

    Whats New With Gg?

Hi All, Sorry I'm Sherco advocate at the present time but I always like to know what I might be missing out on. From what I hear the 4T is dead (which is a real shame) but with an un-tuned eye I haven't notice much improvement with GasGas's since they brought in the new frame. Sure I can see there's been pegs and decals etc, etc... but what engineering advances have been made of late? Best of balance. Neo

That's the 3rd mention of snapping kickstarts these past two months. SHERCO you have a problem!! Best of balance. Neo
  11. Does anyone know where I can buy one of these for a 125? Best of balance. Neo
  12. Hi wombat, This Nulon stuff is brilliant! But might not appreciate how good it is until you've had your Sherco drag you down the driveway a few times I'm not sure where in the world you are located but the Nulon Australia site has a Store Locator [CLICK HERE] where you can find your local stockist (All SuperCheap Autos too) ....If not I'm sure the Nulon site of you country should have the same thing. Your old oil will still be in the plates for a while. So it will take a few hours and a good ride before you'll see the full effect of the Nulon oil from a stone cold start. Please let us know how you get on with this oil? Best of balance. Neo
  13. Just because an earth connector is held firmly in place does not mean it has a good connection. Remove it and file flat both surfaces....Using a digital ohm (resistance) meter will also help locate the problem. Best of balance. Neo

    Sherco Paint

Hi All, I've been sitting on this one for a while but today I resprayed my spare 06 Frame with this paint which is actually made in the US. The end result is very close to the original Sherco paint and and I am very pleased with it. It's not as tough as the original Sherco power coat but it's not far off and can be sprayed or brushed on for touching up. Be sure to buy the Acid 8 primer and the thinners too. As there is no substitute for these I'm told. Just thought I share this with you guy. Best of balance. Neo

    Cabestany R

I wondering if I've missed something somewhere. The first the VHST review I read said that they were difficult to set up but well worth the effort. Haven't seen much about this carb since notice a few people say that were not good....but why? If anyone buys this Cabestany R
  16. Just divide 5000 by 65 - That's 77:1...But I like to do it the other way round. I put 8 litres in a 10litre container of petrol and add 100ml of oil .... makes it easier for my brain Best of balance. Neo
  17. Me too .... TTS needs a bit of a shake to mix in well though.Best of balance .... even while riding the strimmer Neo
  18. I made the mistake of sicking a 3M scratch resistant plastic film over my frame number some time back to keep it free from rust. A few weeks ago decided to repaint the frame so I peeled that film off only to rip off the original paint area over the serial number (which I'm told is powercoat). So I used some medium emery paper to smooth off the paint and hey presto the serial number was gone is just a few seconds...I was shocked I learnt from that that it doesn't take much to rub off a stamped serial number. 19. Two very nice ideas I think I don't think you can combine this mod with an OKO because the Carb inlet works out badly offset, yet very close, to the airbox hole. A spacer would only make that situation much worse...if the OKO fits in there at all. Hi shercofray, I'd like to replicate that Flywheel mod over here. can you please post up some photos and some details too? Best of balance. Neo
  20. Yes that's right. The 200 was a fantastic Trials engine...don't know why Sherco discontinued it in 06. Parts were around until 08 but as far as I know none after that....But if you can get one as a kit grab it!! There is no way you can have a Sherco barrel bored out without spending a fortune. An OKO 24mm carb is a cheap mod... and on a $ ratio will out perform all but the high compression head. They are not hard to set up and very reliable on the 125's I go for that and wait around for a high compression head. That would be the best dollar-per-bang I can think of. But before you do all this please stop and consider what Trials is all really about. I ride a 250 and we have a 125 too (both 06's) and believe me the traction and control you have on a 125 is second to none. Best of balance. Neo
  21. How bad is it? Can you post up a close up photo of the four bolt holes? Best of balance. Neo
  22. 3 months on and I'm still finding this oil is the best solution Would be nice to see some feedback from anyone that has tried this oil too? Best of balance. Neo
