Hi All,
Does anyone know if an 07> Chain Guide will fit (and work correctly) fitted to an 06 swingarm?
I'm not worried about rivet holes or anything....just the fact that it will go on neatly and guide the chain correctly.
Many thanks and best of balance.

My Notes on tested on my working stators (250 and 125).....
Testing the Trigger and Stator
Using the diode test on a multi meter to test the trigger
Blue no reading
brown 1601 ohms
black 1626 ohms
using the red lead and black on earth
Blue 725 ohms
brown 766 ohms
black 767 ohms
using the black lead and red on earth
I also tested the resistance's of the other wires
White to red 95.4 ohms
Red to green 549 ohms
green to white 637 ohms

Testing and checking your Sherco stator plates, only applicable to the Lenoelli stators from 2002 to 2007.
To Test Sherco triggers, check mode on a multi meter, you should get reading something like this, don't worry about exact numbers if it is somewhere in the same region.
Using an Anolog meter the red lead to the plug terminals and black to earth.
Blue no reading
brown 1000 to 1600
black 1050 to 1650
Using the leads the other way around i.e. black lead to the coloured wires, red to earth.
Blue 600 to 730 ohms
brown 650 to 770 ohms
black 650 to 770 ohms
Using a Digital meter in Diode mode the red lead to the plug terminals and black to earth.
Blue no reading (sometimes shown as 1 or error)
Blue 0 (sometimes shown as 1 or error)
Brown 1018
Black 1100
Using the leads the other way around i.e. black lead to the coloured wires, red to earth.
Blue 635
Brown 661
Black 661
Also test the resistance's of the other coil wires, leads either way around.
White to red 95 ohms
Red to green 550 ohms
green to white 640 ohms

Hi All,
Does anyone know if the 2010 fuel tank has any baffles in it to slow down the movement of fuel from the front of the tank to the back?

Interesting feedback...thanks Kramit.

I'm curious....Would you say that it is lighter than a 2007-9 Sherco (to rocking from side to side) that has no fuel in the tank?....if so why?

Hey Bob,
Well done....awesome job and write-up too
And no need for that "block of wood" (to limit her to 1/2 throttle) after all
bobtlr....OKO22mm?...not that I am aware of.
Come on Cope.... I know you're dying to say more than that.

Hey Bob,
You are truly a man of action.....no messing, you just go and DO IT!...."good-on-ya"...as the Aussies say
Let us know how you go.

Hi 231,
Well an OKO 24mm has been tried and Bob told us it was great...smooth and controllable. I have also tried an OKO24mm on a 2T 250 and I was shocked just how easy it was to tune and just how smooth the power delivery was. But of course there was a lack of top end power when it came to doing splatters...but this was kind of offset by the superior grip, because of the smoother power delivery.
But remembering we are talking about a 4T engine which usually have smaller carbs than their equivalent 2T engines anyway. My guess is that an OKO21mm would turn your 320 into a kitten and limit that monster that so many people complain about. And at $80 it's not exactly a huge investment.
Just my 2cents worth.....Shot me down Cope!!
Best of luck and best of balance.

My guess is that it would be a lot quicker and a lot less hassle just fitting an OKO 21mm

Cope, I find this feedback somewhat confusing considering you were singing the praises of an OKO24 on the 2T and 4T only a few weeks ago?
Jeff, either way let us know what you decided?

You'll be alright...just stick an OKO 24mm Carb on her and you'll turn her into a kitten.
So if you know about engines and it's the right deal....go for it!!

Hi howie,
I have a spare 06 Frame.... so if you ar e still looking for reference points I can take some measurements for you over the next few days or so.
Just let me know?

It just don't get that cold around here to necessitate such a thing .... but maybe the AntiCorrosive properties of Antifreeze would be good.
I change my tyres and build my own wheels and I do a lot of Anti corrosion protection to the rim, spokes and nipples when I do this....so I wouldn't dream of putting water in my tyres!!!

Hi All,
Got talking to a guy in pushbike shop today. He's an old Trials fan but never actually ridden himself.
He told me that in days gone by that Trial riders used to fill their tyres one third up with water? ...and that some riders progressed on to using another fluid that would not slosh around so much when they came to a stand still.
Can anyone confirm this myth and tell me what that other fluid was?.....I have no plans to do this myself but I am curious to know if it's true.
Best of sloshy balance!

Hi All,
Does anyone know how thick the clutch plates should be (in mm)?
The clutch plates on our 125 look in good condition but I was wondering if there is a minimum?

Hi,
Just out of curiosity how does that compare with the 2009 pricing?

Thanks Glenn,
Although not being an expert on fast cars I'm finding all this a little hard to cross correlate against the dynamics of a Trials bike.
Keep em coming gents...there's lots of food for thought here....don't leave it all to the manufactures to think about.....we're doing this stuff too

Hi All,
In the recent news articles on the new Ossa, according to Ossa engineers, the lighter a bike gets the more weight should go towards the front of the bike?
What do you thinks about this theory?...get as technical as you like

Yes please do.....as I'd like to compare that against my WD method of using a steel Jubilee Clip and a long screw driver ...I'm laughing but I am serious too.....it worked a treat and left no marks.

Would be good if you could summarize....
1. The symptoms of your fault
2. The cause(s) of the problem
3. What did you learn or uncover along the way.
