  1. These photo's are the best Trials shots I have ever seen
  2. Can you post up a photo or two of that? Best of balance. Neo
  3. It's best to make your Dellort run right before going for a different carb. The Keihin is more trick to tune than the Dellort so you might get a lot more trouble than you bargained for. I'd guess you have a fault condition you need to find first. Best of balance. Neo
  4. Good point Spark. I supposed they'd need a heavy flywheel too. But I'm sure that would have a negative effect on the battery discharge rate. Surely (hopefully) GasGas would understand all this already. Best of balance. Neo
  5. It's amazing what you can buy in a Lingerie shop now days Best of balance. Neo

Wow ... but it sounds like that time came a couple of years back Best of balance. Neo
  8. Hmmm ... lots of confusing information on this on the web so I have just ordered a set of bits (0.3 to 1mm) and will try the good old fashion "trial and error" method ... got nothing to loose really Best of balance. Neo

I've been running FS for some time too. But maybe it's worth buying a bottle of SS just to confirm your theory. I was using SS a few years back but I wasn't really tuning my bikes much back then, so who knows, I might be missing something now. One thing I do not like about SS is that it eventually clogs up the exhaust. I know for sure my bike's much cleaner now days on FS. Also, I had a friends 2002 Rev3 live at my place for a year or so. When it came emission and oil control I found that bike's engine to be dirty and disgusting, regardless of what oil or petrol we used ...even after we fitted a new muffler. And I've seen many Beta's that behave the same way since. That's just my experience but I could be wrong. Best of balance. Neo
  10. Yep Phil I think you are onto something there. I was thinking something similar just today. I've yet to check this out but I also think that the insides of the hoses (possibly under the clips) may be deteriorating slightly. And every time I pull a hose off (and on again) small granules of rubber are making their way to the seals and being pushed past the lips. I'm waiting for Cope's professional opinion on this but he's gone really quiet lately Best of balance. Neo
  11. Yes but I'm sure it is well tempered
  12. Got the message loud and clear Cope ... Seals went back to the shop yesterday.... But this will cost me 2 weeks of riding time Best of balance. Neo
  13. Hey Cope ... any update on this? Best of balance. Neo
  14. Hey Spark, I sent you a PM ... hope you got it? Best of balance. Neo

Hmmm .... If it's gonna look like that I think I'd prefer a new box

All the gunk must has turned into rubber
  17. Perfect shercogeezer.... thats just what I wanted to hear Best of balance. Neo
  18. I like the idea of the rawlbolt method Cope....just wondering if you could combine that with the a large socket over the rawlbolt/bearing hole and then use a second nut and washer on that same bolt to gradually pull the roller bearing out? Best of balance. Neo
  19. Thanks for that Spark. I popped into an Oil Seals place today to see if I could buy the water pump seal. Got talked into buying seals that have only one lip on one side (open/spring side) because I they didn't have the double lip ones in stock....a bit like the one on their website. I wasn't keen at first but they talked me into it and told me that the other lip is just for dust and shouldn't be needed in this case....now I'm not so sure and don't want to score yet another shaft for the cost of a seal.....What's your thought on this? Best of balance. Neo

You know something here makes no sense. If this guy reckons that rollers didn't have enough clearance (rather than too much) then that would cause slip, not drag. And God knows how he went about measuring that clearance (to that degree) anyway. Also, I've been browsing around that TT/Observed Trials forum and I've found that much of the information to be kinda off-beat. Written buy YZ "Wanna-Bea Trials rider" (one day!). I mean I'm not sure why you'd need that forum anyway....when TC is here? Sorry just having one of "Critic" days Best of balance. Neo
  21. Sorry Cope the penny didn't drop on this one What drill sizes correlate to what jet sizes? Best of balance. Neo

I think that's the same caustic crystals (drain cleaner) that you can get down at the supermarkets now days.... very corrosive on ally though...and that's why it went out of fashion Best of balance. Neo

With exception to the disk mounting bolts I hardly use the stuff ....And I have no trouble. The only other bolt I know of that comes loose is the one below the seat that holds the ally muffler to the frame. I have known some folk to use Loctite Red in the past.... And I would personally shoot these people on sight if I could catch em Best of balance. Neo
