  1. What weight fork oil do you use in your Marzocchi forks?
  2. Try Central Wheels, they sell spoke kits for all wheels I did a Gas Gas wheel and it cost about £40 for spokes & nipples
  3. If you are going to change the engine and convert it to twinshock why not just buy a TY and save yourself some work and money?
  4. Ben doon, is sidecar with Ivor Biggun
  5. Never had a smoke problem on 40:1 and beats a new big end and rebore
  6. R40 mixed with fully synthetic, good luck with that...
  7. I wouldn't run any leaner than 40:1 on an air cooled, not only does it lube it also aids cooling! Why would less oil ever be better!
  8. Less lubrication = more wear
  9. As totalshell said, use a fine stone and give them a try
  10. Misers or people with common sense? Plus what's wrong with water?
  11. what's wrong with 50:50 water & antifreeze/inhibitor? Never had any problems with distilled water and good quality automotive antifreeze/inhibitor the Evans stuff cost £100+ if you purchase the pre-treatment!?!?
  12. they probably would if you had 4psi in them and drove over big rocks
  13. No need for scotch-lock wiring on modern cars (That would cause problems) Its plug and play, the lighting is controlled by the ECU All you need is the relay, if its for the correct vehicle it should have the plug attached, plus most cars even have the holes ready for fitting
  14. how well does the bike run? If it runs fine, don't mess with it
  15. £500 for a towbar, was it gold plated! mine cost me £30 s/h of ebay and new fitting kit £15 +2hrs spanner work

  17. Didn’t Eric Clapton have the same problem ‘While my banjo gently weeps’
  18. MZ forks don't seem to be much better than the original BSA forks, the action on any I've tried seems pretty crap I would swap them for some Spanish / Jap 35mm trials forks
  19. I went to look at a motocross bike many years ago; the vendor said it had new ‘power bands’ fitted on all the gears….
  20. What manufacturers say and actually do are two completely different things, and I speak from experience. If you want to talk to the experts when it comes to engine lubrication speak to the oil manufacturer
  21. I've always run my GG at 50:1 (as recommended by the oil manufacturer) never had to clean my exhaust in 6 years and my engine is like new inside! I run my air-cooled bikes on 40:1 or lower!
  22. Does anyone have the results from this Sundays Market Drayton trial? Thanks
  23. I would guess the low amounts of oil recommended are probably so they can meet the emission regulations, and very little to do with life of the engine!
  24. One trial later and the rim tape still holds pressure, so rim tapes do repair
