Shatterford has to be one of the most slippery places to ride a bike!
-
Some good advice a above
The only thing I would add is don’t use washing up liquid, it works fine but causes corrosion (I think it has a high level of salt added)
-
One of the passengers could sit on the bike?
-
I would like to comment on this topic, but unfortunately I’m too poor to have a bike with FI
-
Many years ago a friend of mine turned up at a motocross meeting, only to find he had forgot his bike….
-
Spell checker changes the word amal to small, or a typo??? (could be wrong)
I know in ms word it tries to change it to anal!
-
I’ve noticed that the prices have started to creep up lately
They are a bit like marmite, you either love them or hate them!
-
Well there’s your answer, couldn’t be simpler!
-
Yes, that’s the setup I have and it works very well
-
The only TRIALS tyres NOT allowed are tyres without tubes. I presumed you are going to fit a trials tyre?
Maybe you were thinking of a motocross or ice speedway tyre with some nice metal spikes?
-
Don’t think you are allowed tubeless, but I think quite a few use them!
-
I’ve just acquired a bantam D7 bottom end (everything accept a barrel piston & head)
I would like to fit a D14 top end, I presume it’s a straight fit. But did the D14 have any difference to the crankshaft, crankcase volume or transfer port alignment?
Basically what I want to know is, will I get the same power output as a D14?

A ground anchor is a must even if you have an alarm,
I had a bike stolen that had some expensive locks & chains but it wasn’t locked to the floor.
The locks broke there bolt cutters, so the stole a neighbours van and took it with the locks on!
Now I have a ground anchor under the bike to make access difficult, and another at the front!
They can be purchased off ebay quite cheaply!
-
Don’t buy one to cheap, better to go for a branded one
The cheap ones are not accurate
A good quality one will last a lifetime!
-
If you only ride for fun why not leave it standard and just enjoy riding it?
The bike should be more than capable to ride with modern iron, so what’s the point in chopping it?
-
do you have the engine & frame number, it would be worth posting them on here
-
I have a couple of simple questions:
What bike should I buy, is it pre65 eligible & what two stroke mix should I use?
-
I now do trials for exactly the same reason, and it’s also a lot cheaper than MX
I must be enjoying it, I now have 3 trials bikes!
-
Nothing wrong with using Castrol R in a classic 4t Trials bike, but be very careful if you use flushing fluids or oil as they don’t mix with 'R'
I’ve only ever swapped oils after a full engine strip and clean
Your best bet is buy some more ‘R’
-
Never Mix R with any other oil, or you will scrap your engine!
You would have to give it a very good flushing before adding any other type of oil.
Your best bet is to find some more Castrol R

I’ve got the spada helmet, had it about 3 years and it’s a comfortable well made helmet.
The only thing that I’m not keen on is the strap buckles, they have gone rusty
-
I've had a couple of bike stolen in the past, I now find that ground anchors are the best deterrent
The other magnet to thieves are van stickers and leaving the bike on show
-
Nice bike, I’m hoping to start riding in the BMCA if I can ever get my bike finished!
-
I did mean to ring today, but I forgot as normal!
Has anyone purchased anything from them lately?
-
Somebody else told they wasn’t trading, but I found there website!
