  1. The arm is actually a sports cub (they are wider than the standard cub arm), even though the bike is a bantam! I will measure it up for you With the bushes its very strong, I made them a press fit in the tube. Plus don’t forget that most of the load is transmitted though the shocks to the sub-frame, the swing-arm is more for control (like a radius-arm / wishbone on a car)
  2. Yes, you may be right 6061 is better But the alloy I had was slightly to small in diameter, so I’m going to make some patterns and cast a set in LM25
  3. Its mig welded, I cleaned the weld to make it look neat I made some bushes to go in the tube to add strength
  4. you heed the arm off a Sports Cub (they are sightly wider for the trials tyre) See my link http://www.trialscen...ing-arm-length/
  5. Progress of swing-arm One side finished, other sidw still needs filing down I think I’ll have a go at making some alloy Cub Hubs next (Can’t make up my mind if I’m going to turn them from billets or cast them, If I cast I will make a few sets )
  6. It’s now done, (cut and extended the tubes) I’ve extended it so the wheel has some clearance from the front of the swing-arm
  7. Can anyone help me, I was thinking about extending them 3/4" ???
  8. Just about to lengthen the swing-arm on my bantam project, anyone know how much I should lengthen it by? It’s a wider type sports cub swing-arm
  9. Does anyone know what grade aluminium is used for replica cub hubs? I’ve got a bit of 6082 and was thinking of make a pair
  10. Ive done more observing than riding, its easy to knock the observers but there seems to be very few riders who are willing to give it a go! It would be nice if people put by there comments how many times they have observed?
