  5. yes but a grinder at 3am in the morning does tend to make a lot of noise? But could be an issue in a secluded area
  6. You need it anchored to the floor, or they will just carry it off and load it in a van! Unfortunately I speak with experience And an alarm if possible, even the cheapo ebay shed alarms are better than nothing!
  7. My back garden is quite secluded so now feel like I have lost my privacy I’m also expecting some very unwelcome visitors!

I’ve always made a point of not displaying my bikes, but last week some lowlife was flying a drone around spying in peoples back gardens! it seemed quite interested in my bike which I was cleaning at the time I tried to follow it but it shot off into the distance, someone told me the expensive ones have a range of 4 miles and a 4k camera!
  9. I have a pair of boots and the upper leather has gone very thin around the gear-change area, anyone else had this problem? I was thinking of gluing a leather patch on top?

  15. newspaper stuffed in, and changed when its damp. Someone also recommended not putting your feet down when riding, but I’ve not had much luck with that one
  16. Yes, hard chrome plated. but I think the plates are mild steel.
  17. yes, sounds like a good idea. I may also see if I can get a cheap old frame and spray it rather than chrome it!
  18. Have you measured the oil in - out, or are you just estimating?
  19. that's how mine started, then the buckle developed a very fine crack The chrome is perfect on this frame, it seems such a shame to weld!
  20. Does it smoke (a lot) all the time or just after a blast, may just be oil in the exhaust? if it was the gasket it would suspect it would empty the gearbox rather quickly!
  21. I sold a good frame a few years ago, wished I’d kept it now!
