Hey vintagecota, is the hole at the bottom of kickstart travel, or at resting position? Mine has broken thro' magneto case with the kickstart at rest position,,,,If you follow that..
How did you sort "your" hole in the casing?

Can anyone give me a brief resume' on what are the most important things to ask the seller? I have scoured the forum archives, but could do with a few pertinant points all in one place.....such as correct wheels/rims, plastics, unavailable parts, etc, any advice much appreciated.

As i aint ever had or tried a fantic 240, can anyone tell me whats so good about them, as they seem highly thought of on this forum???
Only ask as given opinions here,i may make one next on my wish list....
cheers S.M.
Another of my little used "pets" is a scorpa sy250 racing fitted with a lazy longride kit!
one thing that annoys me is that the kickstart batters off the r/hand footpeg every time it is kicked over.....
Is it just me missing some way round this, or do we have to live with it????

Thanks for that.
Incidentally if youd tried the cota this morning, complete with brand new piston etc, then tried it this afternoon after i had reasonably accurately set the timing maybe its more critical than you would have thought!!!
night and day springs to mind....gave me a wee fright for one moment.! really quite a sharp motor in decent nick!!!!!!!
cheers.
Can anyone tell me how to tell the exact moment the points start to open on my cota 348? i am thinking along the lines of a circuit test or something.
So as i can set the ign. timing correctly
many thanks and hello from a newby!
