  4. I like the irc rear,but the front felt awful.very vague and tended to push on tight turns. maybe it was just me.put a mich on and the problem went away. also tried a rear v-rubber,seems to work really well especially in mud. its all down to personal preference,pay your money make your choice.

  8. controversial as ever paul,but i think you are spot on with this one. very speciaized skills leads to more dangerous sections leads to smaller entries leads to the death of our sport.look back to the 70`s, club and centre trials in the east mids regularly had 150 entries - go figure !!!!
  9. gearbox tends to self destruct,breaking the cases.try and get one of the last 247`s instead.
  10. depending on which dvla office you go to you may have to take the bike for inspection ring first or have a wasted jouney,as i had last week!!!!
  11. sealing products work ok in metal tanks BUT NOT FIBREGLASS ones,the problem is that the fibreglass becomes impregnated with 2 stroke oil over a long period of time and bugger all will stick to it,dont waste your time and money!! this pearl of wisdom was hard and expensive to learn.
  12. if you are a tight a***,like me,you can always fit an old motoplat,simon bateman supplied mine,very cheap and has run for years with no problem,he also has a magic box for motoplat which gives some advance and retard,also very cheap!!!
  13. for some of the two strokes 40 miles is way too far,mine is flat out at 25mph this speed causes double vision and the loss of fillings!!!
  14. use dextron 3 instead of normal gearbox oil,this cures the problem for virtually no money!!!
  15. castrol TTS at 50:1 can`t go wrong with this,it is expensive though!!
  16. don`t buy a honda mate - things can`t be that bad !! I have an electronic from craig mawlam on my maj. early days yet,but the easy fitment and easy adjustability make it a winner with me,i have made 3 marks on the backplate advanced,compromise and retarded,the difference is very noticable.it gives us fools another excuse for poor riding,had the ignition set wrong,would have won if not for that etc etc. someone on here must have craigs number.i`ve lost it. i think it was about

  19. the show was rubbish from a trials point of view,on the upside there were some lovely tarts in lycra !!! made the day worthwhile.

  22. the sprite is in storage at my old boys place so can`t see what sprockets it has give pete carson a call he will know what gearing is best. it snowed in the alps today - hurray !!! only 8 weeks to go.
