hi woody,the guy you mean is steve dixon,he built the honda himself,fantastic engineering
it is a short stroke 306cc.not seen him for a while,think he is riding a rigid ariel these days

make sure you have plenty of money - it always costs way more than you think it will !!!

ossa mar - no problems,all engine parts are available from keith lynas in san diego,big ends and pistons
are better quality than originals,petrol tanks and mudguards from sammy.motoplat ignitions can be re- worked to give better output than when new. these bikes are great fun to ride and can still be competitive,
selling mine was a big mistake!!! much better than a gripper.

you can`t go far wrong with a 250/350 ossa mar.cheap to buy very easy to ride,no problems with spares,
wish i still had mine !!!

chris ward stove enamel in burton on trent has some very high temp.semi black,it looks good and 3 years later is still perfect on my majesty.much better than aerosol high temp.

i pretty much agree with old trials fanatic,the point i was trying to make is that the sammy miller series is supposed to be the premier national pre 65 championship,and therefore should cater more to the national standard rider.i know this is totally against the modern pc world we live in but hey,who cares.

i thought the reason entries are falling at sammy miller rounds is that they are so easy it is`nt worth the effort to drive 100 miles to them.almost every result i have seen,mainly 2004/5,was the class winner dropping zero.sounds more like green laneing than trials.i`ll go and hide now from the enevitable abuse!!!

advance the ignition to make the power more aggressive,retard it to make it soft and grippy.
all you have to do is turn the back plate 5mm in either direction and you will feel the difference,experiment untill you find what is best for you,novice riders will usually do better with a soft engine.

all you need is a friend with a lathe,or take it to your local engineering work shop.i did one recently,it only took 20 minutes. you must make sure it is perfectly true or you will end up with lots of vibration!!!

comparing chris clarks bultaco results with any other is not really fair,he is an ace rider and after riding his bike i realized it is the best bulto ever,altered frame geometry and mikuni carb make it better tham my majesty - bugger!!!!!!!!
