Totty, just regular Slime? Won't that just coat the tire? Or, does the air leak draw the Slime to the point of the leak?

I have a 2004 Rev3 and there is a spot about an 1.5"(about 38mm) long of corrosion on the rim right where the rim band lip is. It is causing a leak. Looking for opinions on what I should do. I know there are many treads on TC about this issue, so searching for a good repair made my head spin. Getting a new rim is out of the question and putting a tube in it is a last resort as I have a brand new tire on it now. Thanks for the help.

Looking for a little advice. I have taken the exhaust off of my 2004 Rev 3 270. There was silicone sealer between all the pipe joints. I do not know if the PO did this or if it comes from the factory that way. I have new O-rings on order and when I reassemble it, should I put hi-temp silicone on them? Thanks for the help. Richard

Hello all, I have a 2004 Rev 3 270. It is new to me and I have ridden the bike a few times and all was fine. Last time I took it out, I had no clutch until the bike was warmed up. Then it worked fine. I checked the master cylinder; fluid was fine and looked for leaks but there were none. Not sure if this matters, but the bike sat for a few weeks between rides. Anyone have any ideas on what to check? Thanks

So I finally found a real nice 2004 Rev 3 270. Was really looking for a 250 but the price and condition of the bike was to good to pass up(owner had complete records on bike including ride hours and all maintenance performed from the day he picked up the bike). Yesterday I was putting around my backyard and noticed that the trans oil in the window looked hazey or foggy after I rode it. I immdeiately thought the case was bad. But within five minutes the oil was as clear again. I am thinking that it looked this way because there were mirco-bubbles in it from being churned up by the clutch. The owner from day one used Elf Organic coolant in it. I checked the coolant and the level has not dropped. Should I be worried about the case?

Try this link, maybe it will help you. Not sure if American Betas had different specs than Euro ones. http://www.americanbeta.com/beta-trials-models.html Hope this helps.

+1 to what ducecoop. I just observed my first a few months ago and they paired me up with someone to show me the ropes. By the end of the event he had me doing the section by myself. That helped me a real lot. The one thing he told me was "Be consistent".

A little update, the shift fork was bent.

OK, I need some opinions on this bike. The seller purchased this bike through a dealer and the motor was completely gone through top and bottom, and all other bearings and the like checked. The seller has owned it for a little over a month and has not ridden the bike since he purchased it. He showed me the bill of sale from the dealer. Looks better in person than the picture he sent me(it looked rough in the pictures). The only thing that concerns me is that some of the spoke nipples have rust on them, is this going to cause problems and is it worth the $2600 he is asking for it? Oh, the price he paid was covered over on the bill of sale so I do not know what he paid. Sorry to sound like a pain but this is going to be my first trials bike and I know there is risk buying anything used.

Hello Mike, Thanks for the offer, I still have not decided if I am going to get a Techno. Once again thanks, Richard
