And here's the owners reaction to the new bike. Worth every penny
-
It's only going to be used onthe flat for a while, so I'm going to give the rear ones a go and see how they seem.
Thanks for the advice.
-
Simple solution. If any of the riders (or entrants) entered in the event are bothered, then they can always put in an official protest.
If this happens a few times, the issue will become irrelevant. Either; the converted bikes will stop entering as twin shocks, or a president will be set to allow them.

Do I see a new market for electric bikes?
-
First thing top check, is the clutch operating arm moving? If, so this eliminates problems with the master cylinder etc.

We're planning a club trial at Top Farm at Buckland near Broadway later in the year and are going there on the morning of Saturday 16th August, for a few hours to try out some new sections.
Anyone who fancies coming along for a few hours is more than welcome.
We'll get to ride in the steep wooded part of the venue which is only normally open for events.
10am to early pm (When the heavy rain is forecast!)
No charge. Just come along.
Cheers.
Pete

Last years colours with a trials front mudguard.
And the 2008 colours HERE

Thanks very much for giving us your impressions of the T Ride.
I would really like to get one for LDT's and maybe the odd easy club trial. Compared to a trials bike, how limiting is the steering lock?
-
I was wondering why people use the other (footrest mounted) type.
I believe what you say but, are the rear ones really that bad?
-
-
I've seen pictures of the training wheels which fit under the footrests, but has anyone had experience with the push bike type fitted to the rear axle pin?
I was wondering if this cheaper option is worth a try?
Any comments appreciated, thanks.

One thing you will def need is patience! My spoke nipples leaked, I took the tyre off, cleaned and repositioned the rim tape and put it back on. It leaked more than ever.
Took the tyre off again, repositioned the rim tape and put it back on again. Less leak this time.
Then again... less leak.
Then again... less leak.
I've got it down to 1psi per day now and have given up.
Those who tell you it's easy must have magic in their fingers

Well done to Mark Hicken for taking the win, results HERE.
-
Yes, turn it around. We don't have many rocks around here, so tyres last very well.
Half a season then turn for another half, then put a new one on and still use the old one on my enduro bike. This makes trials a really cheap form of motorsport where tyres are concerned

Todays Group trial was a great success. Over 50 riders enjoyed three laps of 14 sections around a five mile loop of the farm.
The A route seemed to be getting around ok, although one or two steps out of the stream caused a few problems. Steve Clarke suffered at section five when he fell back into the water and was completly submerged.
The short but heavy downfall of rain during the second lap ensured that riders on the easier B route lost all hopes of finishing with a clean sheet, however scores were still onthe low side.
Thanks to everyone who observed or gave up their day to support the event. It was really good to see Evesham's John Hopkins at section two after a long illness which has kept him away from trials.
A full report will follow.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make the event run so well.

Hold on. Just remind me which way you turn the bars to get the rear to hop sideways.
I've never managed to work rear hops out.
Is it; rear right - bars left. Or; rear right - bars right?
-
On the wear front, again there's very little in it. If you ride on the road at all, the IRC does seem to wear out by the inch rather than by the mile! I'd say that the Mich lasts longest..... just.
-
I see you've entered the A route after all then Just!
You'll enjoy that rock step... all you need to do it sput on the style..... like this
-
Plus, leaving it permanently on will make the coolant slow to warm up in cold weather, which can damage an engine and at the very least make the bike run poorly.
-
I've tried the top three makes on the rear and prefer the IRC, but as mentioned above, there's very little in it when new. I think it's mostly phycological to be honest.
-
John any progress on the above, do we need to start the ball rolling with this?

We'll probably send the A route up that one this year, so you'll be ok
That said, we've found a super undercut step for tha A's on that rock section right over the other side of the farm Plus we're going to stick the 'ditch-jump' in again

The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are holding a round of the Midland Centre Group Trials Championship at Sambourne Farm near Studley on 3rd August.
Clerk of the Course and farm manager, Dave Heming has fourteen dual route sections planned following a giant four mile lap across the stubble fields around the farm.
As Group Trials are for club teams of six riders, the organisers wish to point out that the popular B route will be clubman friendly with no hopping or bouncing needed whilst the A route will be quite a tester!
Sambourne Farm will be signposted from the A435 at Coughton Court.
As this is a Centre Championship round, there will be no entries on the day. Regulations are available from the Secretary of the meeting Richard Gill tel 0121 2465823

It does sound as if you have a tubless tyre with a tube fitted.
Yes, there should be no problem with it slipping around the rim if it is. If it wasn't, you'd have almost definately torn the valve stem out by now.
