Hi Folks, I own a Peugeot 1007 fitted with a Swan neck towbar, Im wanting to fit a bike rack instead of lugging a trailer around, anyone know of a clamp that fits onto the swan neck to allow the fitting of said bike rack.
Billy T - The knocks/clanking is when throttle open, I also wondered if the prob was merely the engine was at its max!!!! I will try higher grade fuel at weekend and keep u posted with the results
Any advice on controlling bike down steepish narrow slopes and banks? I seem to flap abit when atemping these and usually make a complete clown of myself and slide off, which brake to use and body position would be a help to start I guess, also bar and lever position( beta rev 3)would help too.
Hi mate, Iv tried to find rayc on forums re trials schools in the northeast of england but to no avail, can you point me in the right direction if poss.
Hi all, Well i entered my first trials today at Consett - Hownsgill Farm, well I was geared up for it,tagged along with another lad to the first section and thats where it all pear shaped lol. I learnt 2 valuable lessons here, 1, spend more time watching riders ride the section and have the bike positioned correctly lol,I did neither of these and that was that lol OFF !! twisted my left knee so that was my entry at trials, but rather than give up I followed the guys around the course and WATCHED..I managed to get an hour and a half on the bike before my knee give up and I was goosed lol. I will try again tomorrow at Rothbury.... this time watching and learning!!! Prior to today I only spend about 2 hours riding over 3 outings on the bike so Im pleased i managed the hour n a half to be honest lol.
Any further advice would be very appreciated guys.
Hi Guys, Thank you for your responses, the wrist problem stems from 30 years in martial arts ( old school training methods catching me up lol ) I take the comments re beginners putting to much pressure one the bars which I guess is normal,I will try a wrap on wrist to see if that helps, Iv got a couple of trial events at weekend ( first ones )so I will try to put more weight on the pegs and guide the bike.
Here's a one for you all, Iv just started trails, Iv had bother with my left wrist for a few years,on my mountain bike Iv had to use a riser stem to raise the bars up abit to take the pressure off my wrist ( my left hand can literly fall asleep after awhile) which isnt good lol, could changing the bar postition on my beta help or i can I get a higher lift set of bars? All help much appreciated.
