    2015 Montesa's

To be fair, St Blazey's have been very good with brother and I. However, I do wish Honda UK were more proactive, they are definitely letting the customers down with their approach. I also wish there were more dealers, preferably nearer to me. Steve at St Blazey will continue to get my custom, for the time being though.
  2. Welcome to Trials Tim, I'm not that local to you, but there are plenty off riders in your neck of the woods, who I sure can guide you as well as this forum. Keep an eye on the TMX regs, in the back, that will show any events local to you. I'm sure someone local to you will reply on this thread soon.
  3. Look forward to doing business with the lads and popping into the new shop soon.
  4. Fantastic news, good luck Rick and Laurence with your new venture.
  5. Many years ago I saw Sam Conner have a nasty accident and his bike was pinging from one rock to another due a stuck throttle. It took quite a while for the people around to get control of the bike, it was was quite frightening really, as much worse could of happened. So although I do use a lanyard kill switch now, this thread is great, as it's educating all those that don't know the techniques to deal with a runaway engine. Thanks Mokwepa, for bring the subject up.
  6. If my memory serves me right, ELF HTX 740 has been the recommended gearbox oil by Montesa Honda for years, both for the 4RT and the 315 Cotas. Always used it, bought from BVM, but now I'm stuck as to where to get it from now. So maybe I will have to consider an alternative.
  7. The H & D lightweight fuel is great, but only if you have the Future or Mitani fuel tank base, as it most likely won't fit in the standard steel fuel pump mount, without major modification.
  8. Good effort mate, enjoy. :-)

    5 Or 3 ?

Has to be a five, otherwise it's not justice for the riders that do clean it fair and square. However, as an edit, it's easy to judge when you have multiple video angles to view, harder when your a volunteer on the spot.
  10. guys if your happy on how your bike runs, then there's no worry, just carry on as you are mate. :-)
  11. Guys, I have to agree with others, your video sounds like your idle is way higher than 1200rpm. I have a OPPAMA Pulse Engine Tachometer PET-1100, which is very accurate, as used by Josep Banyeres. I have my idle set at 1850rpm and it sounds about what your idle speed is (1200). The PET-1100 has various settings for 2 stroke, 4 stroke and multiple cylinder choice.
  12. I thought it would be a duff plug, but as you said you had looked at the plug already I didn't bother saying anything. (I always carry a spare plug)
  13. If you hadn't already done so, I think you probably should have informed your supplying dealer and let them sort it out. I think you've been quite unlucky, as it's not something I've heard much about on 4RT's. Contact your dealer and hopefully they will sort it out for you on warranty.
  14. Eddie you may have a point there, we will see when they release the 2015 model info.
  15. I know Montesa have history, I'm sure it will continue as trialsrfun has said, but Honda also have great history in trials. Also it has to be said, Montesa may well have fallen to the wayside, years ago, if Honda hadn't stepped in when they did.
  16. Ian, unfortunately the side stand is not good. Most take it off, but I can recommend a Mitani one, either alloy or Titanium. Nicely made and works as should, only down side is the cost.
  17. Pleased to hear your good news Paulmc.
  18. I'm sure all those who have entered, will appreciated all the hard work Stuart and all the hard working team at North Berks club, who have worked so hard to get this event ready, only for the weather to beat them again. Well done, maybe next year.
  19. Good luck betabonkers, you've been very patient since ordering back in October, so hope you get your bike soon, which ever one it might be.
  20. Nigel we know they have been available since October, but your talking about grey imports, we are talking about official Honda UK bikes. If someone want to buy a grey import, great, go ahead, no problem with that, but what the start of the thread is implying, is there will be no more Repsol's for Honda UK, as they have sold out. If there are bikes in other markets or grey import bikes available, if you still want one, then that's maybe the way to go, but not everybody wants to go that route.
  21. Most likely because, Honda Montesa underestimated the demand for the Repsol Replica, expected more of the standard bikes to be sold. So when ordering parts to build the Repsol bikes, they didn't order enough to meet demand. My dealer told me that the Showa suspension had a five month lead time from the Showa factory (how true that is, we will never know). But also as the Repsol only model, is now being sold in the States, that may well have also had an impact on availability.
  22. Andy, while your over at Barcelona, maybe you could ask what the reason is for the name change. Will it mean the Bike will sold as a Honda, from this year on?
  23. Gutted for you mate. The 4RT will be easily spotted if they keep it as is, but I hope you get them back and the lowlife get their just deserves.
  24. Don't know about availability, but when the price for the new 260 was announced, France was one of the most expensive markets, to buy the new Mont from.
