    Cat Amongst The Pigeons

proof of what I have always thought about Aussie mechanics.............................
  3. but what p****s me off...............is the guys who were fettling the trick pre65/twinshocks ect ...ect of yesteryear/the 80's are the first to moan/cry 'take the bike home after one lap' co's someone has got something new/better more trick/lighter............sick...........stop........STOP.............thinking of welding fins on barrel of my 4rt.......................ooooooooh!
  4. ORDER NOW BEING TAKEN FOR 2008...............................
  5. Let me tell it like it is.......... a bike set up right is the bike that (please try this experience)...................... 'hold handle bars in right hand fixed to throtle standing (thus keeping your bike vertical) with left hand free push seat (front of seat) or middle of bike in downward position, movement of forks and shocks should be of same', if so you have a twinshock for todays twinshock trials.................IF NOT THINK AGAIN If part one of this experience goes well and is as described/prefered then move on to mounting your machine and make the mods to your shocks to allow for lbs won or lost down at the old pull and push.................. ha! gota keep em seperated.................
  6. I would stay away from any shock that is is just oil based............Gas /Oil shocks will give you the response you need for todays twinshock sections, oil needs time to transfer from top to bottom, the gas is there to give the shock its initial impulsion/reaction then as stated you get what you pay for............If you have ever tried releaseing the gas and all the oil shoots out you will know what I mean.................and I think I know what I am talking about..............stu at bps
  7. I had one, bought after the Scotish 6 days trial in (I'll have to think about that) 78 79 80.................! 6 were built for Scotland 2 teams of 3 John Renolds John Metcalfe and Chris Griffin from the north, as far as I know was never ridden by Mick Andrews? Was a fantastic bike way ahead of its time................. Wish I still had it......................
  8. This is gona be a long story..................Bruno Gilbert builds the bikes from Monpellier and I do the engines big bore kits 210 and 240cc though I have a friend thats taken his out to 260cc..............at the end of the 60's Motobecane buit some works 210cc trials bikes with the idea to market a trials bike based on the 175cc road bike but in the early 60's the laws on riding 125's without a full licence came about so they droped the idea, but they did market the bits to convert over the counter in Motobecane shops. Bruno has a well sorted bike that makes a trick cub look like a Sainsbury trolley.................and thats without a Mc frame and TY mono forks................This year sees the first South France Champioship...........and if I don't see Bruno in the top spot its only because Ren

SPANISH CLASSIC TRIALS BIKES, someone should right a book on the subjct......... As for your TL's ask yourself 'would you buy a Honda car'.....................if the answer is yes then start looking at mz's......................
  14.
