    Ossa

Hi there, can anyone tell me how and where to fit a kill switch on a 1968 Ossa Stiletto. The only wiring on the bike is from the magneto to the coil/regulator and from there to the plug cap.
  2. As far as I am aware electronic ignition hadn't been invented in 1968, it certainly wasn't fitted on my Stiletto. The only wiring on the machine is from the magneto to the coil (regulator) and from the regulator to the plug cap so where on earth I fit a kill switch I just don't know. (Can anybody help)

  3. Hi there, I'm Hograt from Filey. I acquired a 1968 Ossa Stiletto about 15 yrs ago.I was told it had been stood in a farm building for approx. a further 15 yrs and judging by the amount of cow muck, chicken muck and straw etc. covering it I had no reason to doubt it. Apparantly the farmers sons had used it as a field bike until the clutch wore out. They stripped the clutch and consequently lost all the plates and several other pieces. Having recently ended up with having a lot of time on my hands I decided to renovate the bike. I completely stripped it, taking off all the charlie band and wire that were holding many parts on. I sandblasted the frame and sprayed it with 2k primer, basecoat and lacquer, then started sourcing parts from a vary helpful man called Alex Snoop in the U.S.A. I have had the bike running since the rebuild but never gave a thought as to how I was going to stop the engine when I needed to. Although the carb has been completely stripped and rebuilt with new parts, gaskets and seals etc. when she struck into life for the first time in thirty years it made one hell of a racket and was overrevving. That's when I realised that the only way to stop it was to whip the plug cap off. Effective as that might be it's hardly ideal when everything else works as it should so I acquired a cut off switch. The problem I have now is I don't know how or where to fit it so is there anybody out there who might be able to help me.
