--> QUOTE(John.B @ Nov 10 2007, 05:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So do we assume your new Topic title will be, "Help! how do I get the Sherco engine back in the frame?" Don't tell me it's harder to get it back in

    Sherco Engine Removal

Cheers Mike. thank you ,I had undone and removed all the through bolts but wasn't wiggling correctly It's out now. Just for the record:- Lift the engine, roll it to the(left) flywheel side then rotate the back out on the (right)kick start side. Phew ! Wayne
  3. Help ,TC people, I am following the Ryan Young instructions for main bearing replacement(I'm now taking a ''thought-break'' typing this ) and I can't get the engine out of the frame?? I am notoriously reluctant to use force. Could someone give me a few pointers as to how it comes out as the instructions are a little vague. It went in there so it should come out?? Do Sherco have special KY jelly for the job?? Cheers, Wayne
  4. Yes, I can't help wondering.... even with all that back-up,that the world famous,multi-millionaire Ewan Kenobi stands out as a juicy kidnapp target . I mean just a bit of string tied between two trees and you've caught yersel a gold pension. Does anyone know if his planned route will come through Tyneside?
  5. Personally,I'm not offended..I think Andy might ask you to edit it with an adult only warning ???
  6. I think it got removed from here because of the bad language soundtrack.
  7. Hello TC people, I have a problem....I am learning to stoppie and move the back end around on my bike. Sometimes I can get the rear to lift effortlessly and sometimes not at all, what I'm saying is I don't know what I am supposed to be doing!!?? I am one of these types who has to get the theory/visualization straight in my mind first, otherwise I am just throwing myself at it pointlessly. I once went on a course that included visualization techniques ,I stood up and told the lecturer that it was all B.S. and it didn't work,he replied 'It does...you do masterbate?..don't you? ....I sat down. Back to the bike..how do I 'see it'...sink the back end??collapse my knees?? Cheers

    Geordies Only

Cheers Glen, Clutch basket is off (care of Steve),I am taking my time on this..... but not so long that I have forgotten how it all goes back Re-start dismantling tonight...I'm guessing that I can hold the flywheel to undo the primary gear nut or will I twist the crank??

    Geordies Only

Just smacked mesel with a lump hammer trying to shock the clutch-nut off (uncle Albert's false teeth wouldn't hold the clutch basket still ). Off to Steve's first thing tomorrow to use the ratchet gun. Hope his neighbours like the sound of his compressor...it's a whopper! Wayne

Derby game next week...I do hope Kenwyn Jones is not playing
  11. One more before I do some work.....more balancing.
  12. Third one...training using a bicycle
  13. And another .......balance practice
  14. To counter all the obvious, simple things that I do wrong I used to tape a reminder to my bar pad i.e.BEND THEM (my knees) or in your case INHALE_EXHALE.... that sort of thing. I guarantee you will get the mickey taken out of you but it works for me.
  15. Paul w don't be so down on Halloween, there's fun to be had. There seems to be an un-written rule around here i.e the kids (this is what it's about remember)with an adult or two go around the estate and call on specific houses which are suitably decorated, for some sweets/cakes/junk food. This fizzles out by about 8.00 p.m. as the adults are bothered that their kids are in bed at a decent time. When you get a knock on the door at 9.00 or later you just know it's the older 'scrotes' who are out to make a nuisance of themselves (and their parents haven't got a clue)so don't even answer the door. I realize some of the 'scrotes can be a little persistent so just leave the sprinkler out on the front lawn so you can turn it on if needs be(chilly!). Once my missus baked some small cakes for the young kids and then I added some ex-lax chocolate to them for the 'scrotes'. Sure enough ,late on a gang of bad boys came to the door, wolfed down the kak-cakes and gave me a load of verbal for not giving them money!!?? I feel really smug just recalling all this. Happy Halloween
  16. Careful it's catchy..................
  17. I am sorry but I couldn't let it lie,the silence was defening. More from the 'high profile' Hamilton B.S. machine:- So much for all your adoration , the Messiah has bunked off to Switzerland 'cos you lot asked him for an autograph at the petrol station!!! Nothing to do with the fact he doesn' t want to pay tax for our hospitals,schools,Army..etc.?? How do other well paid stars manage in this country( Atom for instance)? He's a vewy naughty boy. Putting my tin-hat on now, ready for in-coming....(Dougie Pumped-up.. go easy on the *******expletives).....Discuss...... Wayne
  18. Have a look at the 70's?? Scott??
  19. Yup, just watched it with the family. I thought the kids were going to wet themselves laughing when he picked the car up and dragged it into work....real visual slapstick. I still don't know how Clarkson got in there. Apart from Charlie Brooker I now think Clarkson is the BBC's top comedy-writer.
  20. I am getting deja vue here??:: Scotty boy, Here's a tip for some tips!! type in ''bling'' into this montesa forum search and you will encounter some of the saddest 4rt mods'.
  21. How's your Spanish??:- The worst day of my life Q: What have Lewis Hamilton and the England football team got in common ? A: They've both been let down by dodgy McLarens!
  22. Looking at the tarmac beneath the Bandit it looks like you've been doin' a burnout..are you a nuisance neighbour?? When my brother had a Bandit he never washed it so I took pride in writing 'ar5e' in the dust just before it's name.. Juvenile or what?
  23. Thanks Barry ,you dont know it but you've help me make a decision. I seem to have less and less spare time these days and I get a lot of peer pressure to buy a road bike(and ditch the Sherco)as it's less time consuming i.e gear on press the starter and away. They say that the human brain(male especially) reacts best to visual stimulus. Looking at that picture there is only one bike there that lights my fire, the trials bike, a Beta even!!
