You need a 13mm double-depth socket. One thing that might have happend is that a TYZ plug has been fitted. They are 17mm, some folk, me included, have fitted them as the Scorpa one's are made from toffee. I have ground out my bashplate a little though to alow removal.
Use 600ml of oil, see the post earlier by nitjay and his middle box.
Changed the oil amount after my type error to match the post below.

What you going on about Brian? Liberal or Conservative? We don't get wrapped up in all that crap, anyway the liberal party in the UK is pretty much a wasted vote.
What you should perhaps appreciate is that the UK is not the closed shop that the USA is. We have a real issue (once again) with terrorism which is coming from within our own country as well as elsewhere. You spouting off about doing the right thing and getting stuck in is great when you're 3000 miles away in country with very little in the way of a Muslim comunity.

Following on a bit from my post on the ACU forum, hoping more of you will read this and give an answer. I'm trying to find out how much you all pay for your trials. Closed to club and center. Thanks.
-
Interesting, going to post on UK trials talk to ask how much everyone pays. Might get more folk reading that one.
-
Think I know where it is as I've been to a trial at Monzie before, I'd appreciate some directions or a map just in case I get lost. Thanks.
-
Thats one club, more please... What's 'combine' anyway? Is that a standard closed to club trial?
IDMCC, where did I leave that humble pie?
-
You never asked for it but I've always been prepared to pay, I guess it's a bit like getting too much change back in a shop; you take the change but will give it back if the cashier notices.
Rode a few trials in England they where either

Wouldn't of thought it would make much differance. I think the 10W bit is all do with the flow of the oil in winter. The 30 bit is viscosity, so a 30 is thinner than a 40.
Have you changed your oil? If so and the problem is still there after the oil and engine is warm then it will be the fluid level in the resi, almost sure of it. I had the same problem.
-
Just wondering what everyone's views are on the two different systems that operate in the UK? For those that don't know, ACU riders pay
-
Intresting topic this one. There's a Twinshock class up here in Scotland for Nationals and I know Bon Accord in Aberdeen have a Twinshock class in their championship. I believe some clubs/centers have an Air Colled class in ACU trials down South? A good idea in principle, a TY Mono against a modern bike is no real comparison. Problem is where does the 125/175 Scorpa fit in?

The serving members of the UK get just 20 mins a week to call home as part of their operational welfare package when on deployed operations from the government. A prisoner gets 30 mins! What the hell is going! This is the tip of the iceberg, I could go on! Why do we put up with it all is the question I ask? The answer normally is that there's no point in complaining to MP's etc as they never listen and act anyway. Well, if we all complained and they never listened then they wouldn't be in the job for very long!
Just heard on the news that the UK is No 1 target for terrorism by Al Queda, this comes as no surprise to me. The UK has been pussy-footing around trying not to rock the boat and upset anyone, how much worse could it get? Our troops are getting a real pasting overseas in a war started over government spin and lies. They can't fight as their hands are tied and we're getting attacked by our very own back home! This is a situation that is getting way out of control. Don't even want to get started on the immigration thing, lucky if I here English being spoken around where I live, sounds like Polish has become the national language!

I've tried lots of oils and they all do pretty much the same. I now use Motul 5100 10W40 engine oil, same as you'd put in your car. This is what is in the bikes when supplied by Scorpa and its what Birks and co recomend. You could use any 10W40, it should all be made to the same spec. Before you do anything change the oil, adding 600ml's. I know what you mean about the differant advice, the TYZ book say's 700, some folk say 550, I've used 600 on mine since new and it's now 4 years old, no probs. I've done some big trials too including the SSDT.

It will need to come off and you'll need to take the two seals out of the front hole that slides over the down pipe from the head as the welder may melt them due to the heat involved. Its really easy to do, about fifteen mins work. I've seen these mid sections changed at the SSDT so don't worry. As said before, tank off, rear guard, airbox with exhuast still attached, remove top shock bolt and swing shock back and pull it off. Good time to get the carb out to and give it a clean too.
As for the clutch, I guess you've tried new oil? Have you got the right amont? you need around 600ml. Also check you've got enough fluid in the resi at the bars. Too little and you won't get full operation. Be carefull though, don't put too much in or you'll generate too much pressure down below and push the piston out ot the housing!
Good luck, let us know how you get on and get in touch with any snags. By the way, moving on to a Beta soon so get the advice from me while you can!!

That pic of Big John has been photoshop'd, it can't be real!

For somebody called betabonkers you arent too clued in
Bit harsh, he/she's only asking a question, politely at that.

They are 6904, I'm guessing they're differant? Rear wheel is 6004.

Cost you an arm and a leg from a dealer, last time I bought fronts from a dealer they where

Thanks for a constructive post frank. Kind of got lost with all the posts before.

Gap has closed a lot more now!!

I'm not an expert on the subject and there are others that post on here that could maybe clarify the two points I'm going to make.
Firstly, I believe that the land used by Grampian MCC (which is a predominantly mx club but it

I see no differane in a one handed slide to any other type of celebration. As far as I can see it Rossi had the attitude problem with Gibernau. Since then he's shown himself, IMHO, to be a much more rounded rider. I could understand why Rossi had no respect for Gibernau, he got where he did with money. Where's Gibernau now then? His cash has not got him wins lately.
Rossi has shown great respect to many of the riders out there, in particular Melandri and Capirossi over the last couple of years and I feel it would be well earned and justified if he could win the Championship.

Are the regs out for this, if so who can I contact for them? Cheers.
-
Thats a bike for Kinell, it'll find its own way round and he'd never worry about getting lost ever again!
-
So how did you find it Andy? I never knew you had a passion for MX or did you do a search on another aspect of the vid...?
-
Yes, I can tell you it was him.
