Eh? I never said nothink about nothink... Shud up!!

TYZ'z are/were fast, friend of mine said he was followed by his mate during SSDT in a van, said he was doing 70 mph. Be interesting to see what the SY can do during Scotland this year.

Charlie, that's a classic!!

I use MB gear, its much better than trials stuff. I found the tip of the finger weas through too quick on Hebo's. Having said that though, I prefer a sug fit with gloves. These are the gloves I use now,

Hrm... We need to be careful on this topic, lets not forget this a free site and it's supported by many dealers etc. I don't think we should start comparing what's on offer else where in Europe.
-
Yes James, they will, its called inflation. On the whole though, the bikes are more expensive but you do get more for your money. Having said that, weren't bikes more expensive a few years ago? Maybe ten or so years back?
Maybe your

It was an excellant trial, the slippy conditions did give high scores but I don't think it made any of the sections a danger.

There is a differance to MOT requirements and road legal. An MOT is for safety and as such, as far as I'm aware, the number plate is not checked. It is, however, subject to the law with respect to size. Its the same for speedo's, not required for an MOT but to ride on the road you should have one fitted. Confusing eh?

My parents live in Brixham.

Reading the regs I notice that the starting order will be in reverse order of receipt of entries. I guess I'm right in saying that the last ones to enter set off first? I seem to remember that time was a bit tight last year and queues were also a bit of a problem. I can't help thinking that the first riders away will have an advantage, does this not disadvantage the riders that were keen and organised with their entry by sending it off early?

I bet I'll get at least 2nd best RAFMSA rider!

Can any one supply a link to the actual wording of the rule, I don't have a copy of the Trails Reugulations as I don't have an SACU licence. Thanks.

Scorpa's are blind, as are Beta Rev 3's I think.

Depending where the bolt has snapped, i.e. below the surface of the hole, you may not be able to weld on to it. Using a bolt extractor may also be tricky, there's two types (that I know of anyway). The tappered lefthanded thread type may not work. As it's tappered, it may not travel far enough down the hole. You may need to use the straight splined type made by Snap-on.
Good luck!!

Managed to strip the threads on all 3 of the front axle pinch bolts located on the right hand fork stanchion. Two striped with ease which left one, that went too. A Heli-coil insert fixed it but it was all to easy to strip the threads. Just thought you all might want to know so maybe you can avoid doing the same.

Hasn't this topic been thrashed to death in the UK Forum?

Are you travelling up on the Sunday morning or on Saturday K?
-
Totally agree with bigfoot. It really is a fantastic trial. Its a long way to come for those down south but its worth the journey. Make a weekend of it and stay in Ft William on the Saturday night, I'm considering it to avoid the early start and three hour drive to get to Kinlochleven!
-
It was the weekend, I rang the phone, he'd diverted it to the house. He did mention something about being crabby though, what ever the hell that means?

I am disapointed that Crosser has, for what ever reason, lost the Scorpa brand. I've had nothing but 100%+ good service from him, James and all. The service has ranged from offering advice from his home phone out of hours to speedy delivery of parts. I wish him and the team all the best in the future.

There has been some debate what is needed for an MOT, here's a guide.

A friend of mine who is riding the SSDT has just bought an SY, he has told me it will be Birkett. Apparentley he was told that there was no money in importing them and Crosser gets more cash from the displays.
