To make any dent on the Jap domination then they'll have to get the build quality sorted. Mate of mine has a china built monkey bike and it's unbelievable how bad the quality is. It rusts and falls apart as you look at it!

I've been trying to find infomation on displaying the last three digits of the trials licence at SACU National events like we had to last year. Does anyone know if this rule is still inforce? Is there a rules page on there web site?

My tow bar is a standard traditional one, not a goose neck type. The rack has a box section that bolts between the tow hitch and the main towbar brackets. To us the rack you just slide in each end of the rack and then bolt through the rack and box section.

Don't want to state the obvious but has he changed his oil? Its a sure sign on my SY that the oil is shagged when I select a gear (usaually from cold) and the bike trundles round with the clutch in.

What about velcro? One bit on the pads and the other on the rim, would that work?

This one is a real bone of contention. Like you say, some riders do stop the bike and its forward motion, which is a five. However, its not a five in the same league as a fall or stalling the bike etc. But how do you address this? There would be some really upset folk getting fives after bouncing around to get a clean. Perhaps the worst for this are the better riders too? Would an observer give a top rider the benefit of the doubt over a clubman? I remember seeing a top rider move a big rock in a section at last years scottish. An observer watched him do it and said nothing, never gave a five either. Should he have fived him?

Front freecrank (is that what its called?) with hs33's. To be honest, the brakes are great with no tar and that's with the normal black pads. One finger is enough, they're not far of my hyd discs on the mountain bike.

I agree with Steveo (Jackass cast off?), my pads wear even, also, on the back of the packaging it lists the Scorpa SY as the only bike they are for. I suspect some other pads would be labled with the bikes they fit and if they fit more than one bike then it would say so on the rear.

Anyone know when the regs are out for the Pollock on the 10th April?

I believe it is a legal requirement to ride on the road though?

That'll be brokenlegs then? He powder coated my KTM wheels and hubs, they look awesome. I'll post pics later. Not sure powder coating is the best option for trials wheels though, it's brittle similar to paint, therefore will chip off if impacted against something, i.e. rocks. Anodized wheels will scatch.

Bought a tatty Onza from ebay that needs new grips, anyone want to offer some advice?

Fumitaka Nozaki has had black wheels on his SY, in 03 anyway. I think he has this year too? Here's a picture from Marseille in the '03 indoor, its hosted on the worldtrials web site. If it all comes together I hope to get my rims anodized!
