  1. You should try riding a KTM 625cc thumper, the bolts on that work loose quicker than you can look at them!
  2. That's boofont alright but what about the bike? Thats made me laugh!!!
  3. There's nothing wrong with the bike or the engine. They are a fairly new company and are smaller than the other's; therefore you can't expect them to play the game to the same degree as the rest of the manufaturers. They don't have a top rider so the publicty is also less. That said, the bike is a good performer and would suit any rider at any level. The backup offered by the (uk) importers is spot on too.
  4. Still not sure yet. If the two guys I ride with are coming then I think we'll hire a van. If not, then unless I can find a better way of getting down there I'll drive. I've got a trial to ride on the 29th which is near Guisbourgh so I shall have to have a think.
  5. Maybe, I might be able to make Friday afternoon too. Have you got my number? 07966843658
  6. Valtos <mention of this company is not permitted on Trials Central>. I can get the number if you want? Its just next to Nevis Sport and about a five minuete stagger home.
  7. You riding at Lumsden John? Is it 11:00 start?

  9. I'll have a bottle of buckfast!! What was your score on Sunday Sandy?
  10. If you weren't such a girl when it comes to drinking you'd have necked it in the pub! You need more practice, could I suggest Ft William as a venue on Sat 1st May?
  11. I think you'll stuggle to be honest.
  12. Mine went in the post box this morning, last one to get their entry in is a poof!!
  13. Just wondering who wants meet up for a few beers. I'm hoping to be at Ft William from Sat to Thurs.
  14. Ah yes, Chris UK!! I remember him.... I think most of the time bleeding the brakes like James has pointed out works pretty well for all of us. Its pretty much the same way the brakes get bled on a Tornado anyway! The key to it is to take your time and don't rush. However, there is occasions when this just won't work. I've found, and I've worked with a lot of hydraulic systems, that air can get trapped in area's that are high up in the loop. By this I mean that if you have, for example, a hose that climbs up higher than the exit from the master cylinder before heading to the caliper. The air seems to gather at the high point and even though you push the fluid through it just won't budge. As you push on the peddle the air wil move down towards the caliper. You lock off the bleed nipple and release the brake. As you do this the air just moves back to the high point. Its like trying to get rid of that annoying gatecrasher at a party, all the gentle hints just don't seem to work. To get rid of these gatecrashers you need to be more forceful, hence the technique (all be it taken to extremes, but hey, it worked!) adopted by windlestone.
  15. Its looking good for me! There's a trial being held at Commondale, SE of Gusibourgh, on sat 29th May that I'm going to (any one else fancy it?). Ride that, travel the short distance to the TC trial, have a few beers then ride the trial the next day. To quote Martin Lampkin... "Perfect!"

    Query?

I tend to agree with REV'er. For some reason Gas Gas's seem to have a bad press for build quality. Don't know where it comes from but all the people that I know that ride em swear by them. I seem to recall some problems with airboxs on a model a few years back, I'm sure this didn't help. I jokingly coined a phrase whilst watching the SSDT in Ft William last year.... Gas Gas.... Get a socket, G a spanner!
  17. Just hold it in your left hand That'll never work!! Better of turning the drill upside down.
  18. This is fine, as long as you have a drill that twists both ways.

    Trotters Burn

Its what you get from touching something thats to hot, also what the Scots call a stream/beck etc.
  20. http://www.altecweb.com/asp/listcategory2....lt+extractor%22 The proper tool for the job. Drill in to the center of the bolt, tap the extractor in to the hole. Place a spanner on the end and turn whilst tapping on the extractor. The extractor has a left handed thread which means as you turn anti-clockwise the extractor bites deeper in to the bolt and should undo it. Let me know what size the bolt is and if possible the diameter of the treaded portion and I'll see if I've got one lying around. If I have, you can have it for nowt! Finally, as with any job, better to spend an extra ten minutes work on the bolt before trying to remove it, than to rush and spend two hours struggling with a mashed up bit of metal. Good luck!
  21. ? How do you know I've got a Scorpa? You been spying on me? I've got your number 118!! Do I know you?
  22. Need to replace the wheel bearings in the front wheel of my 03 SY, can any one tell me what I need. Also, might as well find out what the back ones are too. Thanks.
  23. Hydraulic lock sounds about right. I'd leave the old pads on while pushing the pistons back though, this saves trashing the pistons with the screwdriver or whatever else your using.
  24. Just wondering what the trial is like? How hard is the B route and what type of sections are there?
  25. If its the waterfall I'm thinking of then indeed, in the past, riders have launched them self of the ramp. I think bigfoot smashed his hand up quite badly some time ago riding the expert route on this section.
