So is it ok to ride Scottish trials on an English licence then? I too am a member of an English club but have not thought of getting a licence through them.
-
Where's Annet? I doubt it, I live 75 miles from Cannich!
-
How much does a new piston cost in the states?
-
Heard a rumour that there may be a fun trial at Woodside, Elgin on Sunday 28th. Monty-Python knoes more than me but I'll keep you posted.
-
You should tell us who it is, name and shame them!!
-
Here. It might help if you tell us where you are?
-
Hey wonder boy, I've seen the results, did you go round for 53? How can you say you'd like a harder trial? I beat you and I'm poo!
-
Its the spare room. I can get away with it because i'm not married. She's got her own place and she knows what I'm like. I would have to wait 'till the weekend to work on the bike at the place were I keep it, there's no light.
I'm the only one who drags his pride and joy into the home?
-
This is my idea of home improvement, a bit of bike tinkering in yer spare room!
-
It's welded. The last of the pics posted by Andy shows it best. You can see it on the right hand side. I can take more pics if req'd. Bike is clean and sat in the kitchen waiting for me to whip out the carb. Had a bit of bother at the trial this sunday, water and petrol don't mix too well!!! Wish I had a garage!

I met Wonder toy on Sunday and he was quiet as a mouse. He did tell me though that he likes his trials wet, it reminds him of his bed when he wakes up!
-
Eh? Why don't the bike manufactures employ all the wheel builders to do their wheels!
If you are going to replace all your spokes you should tighten them diametrically (look it up Wonder plop) and not one next to the other. This should ensure an equal load between spokes.
-
Yes Gavin, I can see that you all found the trial easy. As yer man REV'er say's "i went round on about 40!!.......". Well, you really whooped me with my score of 52!
-
Hey Wonder gimp, what did you go round for? I got the Scorpa sorted and managed 52. Still had a bit of problems though. Bit of tlc needed.
-
Just spoke to the club sec, trials on. As for the licence, I'm not sure. See you tomorrow. I'm off to watch the rest of plop idol, deep joy! Things you do to keep the girl happy!
-
Wouldn't think so. Bit far from Edinburgh.
-
Alan, I've got a good mod for the mont.... Buy a Scorpa!!!
-
Nae bother. Gold Vectra, T378 USF; blue Scorpa, SY52 UPS; fat bloke, rides like a ****!

Directions? Coming North from Ft William, follow the road to the west of Loch Ness, turn left at Drumnadrochit on to the A831. Head down this road for about 15 miles. You will go down a steep hill just before Cannich, the road bends to the right and goes over a bridge, just before this is a turning to your left. In actual fact it is straight on, take this road and head down it for about 3 miles. You'll see the other riders.
Trial starts at 10am.

As promised some time ago, here is the photo's of the water pump guard that's fitted to my SY. Sorry about the mud!
-
Mark, I'm having a bit of bother finding a supplier of the 747 oil you recomended. I suspect its because I live so far North, i.e Lossiemouth! How North is that then? Well, its on a par with Inverness, and as a lad that was brought up in Doncaster, I feel like the only Yorkshire pudding on a Sunday roast!
I'd like to buy some mail order, can you help?
-
Eh?
Just turn up and we'll take it from there. I'm no trials expert but I can show you the "lap". I shall (unless anyone from IDMCC has seen the light), be the only guy on a Scorpa! Hope to see you Gavin, you and Techno should make the effort and show your faces!!
