Fitting this carb smoothes out the bottom end, prevents stalling but also increases the power.

I'm sorry to say but thats the norm.
Try the clutch mod in the forum pages, take time and feel the benefit of a lighter clutch.
Also try removing a couple of springs, this makes the clutch feel light and fully engauges when hot or cold.
I used Putoline GP10 without any problems.
Wash the clutch plates in warm water and dry off before changing oil types though, plenty of posts on TC giving excellent advice.

Have you set the bike up as per the manufactures settings??
I have my forks dialled in 10 turns and an 20% uprated rear spring from SXS, set to 130mm.
My weight is 15 stone and the suspension is spot on.

Trying to remove flywheel with little or no success.
Are the bolts left or right hand thread, don't seem to be shifting with an impact gun!!
Any help greatly appreciated.

It is hard to explain but here goes
"After running the bike in I found that the bottom end was not smooth off the throttle and the engine had roll on like my old 4RT, changed to a 45 pilot as instructed by JLB which made it better but still not crisp and still coughs a few beats until it settles back into idle. I've since been told this is due to the flywheel weight which I am in the process of removing. The needle clip is 3 off the bottom and the airscrew is approx. 3/4 turn out."

Hi all,
Just fitted a set of reeds to my 2010 250 after giving up hope of ever getting it to run smoothly like me old gasser!!
Initial results were fine, but started to run rich, adjusted needle and airscrew but do I need to change jets.
Running a 45 pilot as instructed by Beta UK.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Read this too late, mine snapped off yesterday!!!
Have mudguard spacers fitted which will now be removed along with the flap before the new mudguard is fitted.
Can the radiator be moved back and be repositioned by cutting back the rubber mounts and fixing directly to the submounts.
I have heard that an uprated fork spring, Beta 02/03 is available that stops the forks from bottoming out??
Mine are set up with 15 turns for an 85KG rider??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Rim Tape Update
Carried out Dabster's mod, tape fitted, wheel on to 60 PSI, fingers crossed!!!!

You obviously hav'nt tried putting fuel in have you, right f*** on, you need to powerwash the rear mudguard before you take a petrol can near it!!!
-
Are you saying they gave you a new 2011 wheel, I've been told by Lampkins that they are on back order and are not expected for a least 4 - 6 weeks!!
-
Get his riding number and name and shame them all.
No place in any sport for scumbags like them.
Should be banned for life...................

After consulting many trials oracles on how to fit a new rim tape, I cannot for the life of me get all the "blebs" out. The rim tape seems to be slightly too long, has anyone else found this?
It does'nt matter where I start its always the same. Is this an issue with the EVO rear wheel and can I safely sikaflex the wheel up with the wheel as it is.
This is a new spare wheel and has only done 4 sections before the IRC came completely off the rim.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Anyone fitted a Hebo Auxilliary fuel tank to an EVO.

Bar risers are a must, I am 6`3" and have 19mm on my XCLAMPS.
Try and get as many tools on the bike as you can although I have just ordered a Kriega R3 waist belt.
5 weeks to go, lots of running and bike time as possible.
SIS is a must, try and get use to the sachets if you can, they taste like sh**.
Good luck, I may be infront or behind you.

Where do we get the regs from?????
Which club runs this event????
-
Trial was about spot on, the slippery conditions made it hard for both Clubman and Expert riders. Expect marks to be high.
Results can usually take up to a week to appear, however may pop up to Motor Club tonight and see if I can get results.
Will try and post them on tinternet!!!

Thanks Cota, I know you want them really!!!!
Rumour going around SDMC that the reason the 07`s are late is that there was a factory recall due to a frame cracking !!!!!
Can anyone add more!!!
Does this apply to 05 and 06`s, should we all be worried or is there any truth in this rumour!!!
