  1. Must admit ours is rusty and to be honest believe it or not mercs are terrible for rust.
  2. Yeah weve got a 2004 crew cab. I take single seat out and put mine in diagonal. With all seats out 3 bikes will be a doddle. Don't go for 109 engine my old txt pro 125 could pull better!
  3. I had same problem with my 06 300. I put new clutch in and changed from atf to Motul light gear oil. I thought my adjustment was right but I still had very slight drag. I played with the adjustment over and over and now its spot on
  4. So there I was....at the end of section 4 having only 1 dab! Wheelied up hill through finish gate, got cramp in my left fingers, couldn't pull clutch in and just launched towards spectators clearing about 10 foot. It must of looked good to everyone else. Main thing is I did only get the 1 dab and im still here to tell the tail!
  5. Yesterday I think along with many bruises, grazes, broken brake lever and bent fatbars or forks.
  6. I had really bad drag on my 06 pro 300. I had to replace the clutch anyway so I did that and messed around with the adjustment. With a lot of messing I got it spot on. Change oil and check adjustment
  7. You don't need to remove the front wheel, just the caliper. Remove the master cylinder Cap and push the pistons back. My pistons wore a hole through the pad and touched the disc. I had to remove the pistons and make them flat again lol. If your pads wont go in your pistons arent fully back
  8. I had a 125 pro before I upped to my 300 pro. It was me that couldn't do the things I wanted not the bike at all. Plus I'm 13 stone ssshhhh!
  9. I would strongly advise against atf. It swells your clutch plates and makes drag! I don't think you need to bleed it unless it crunches into gear? My pro had atf in. I replaced it with motul light gear oil. Made a big difference.
  10. Mine used to cut out mid section cos of the drag. Tinker about with the adjustment and reach screws and you will get it right. It took me a while but that's what it'll most likely be
  11. Hi, I have a 300 pro. I had the same problem. As far as I know it's all to do with adjustment. I put a new clutch in mine with new oil not atf. Id try and try and try adjustment first though
  12. Yeah I've had mine a good few year and still going strong, no signs of weakening or anything yet!
  13. Just out of interest Ben why are you wanting to do this?
  14. Nowt wrong with your piston mate. Silly question but is kill switch stick in? For what it costs if put another plug in to start

    Milky Oil?

    What oil are you using?
  16. He might find the 315 a bit ( lot) heavier than the newer bikes.
  17. I had the same on my 300 I changed my fuel/oil mixture slightly and it sorted it. Maybe the same easy fix for you. ???
  18. Hi. Might be nothing to do with yours but my 06 300 had the same fault and it turned out to be the pipe in the carb that links The 2 over flows together. It pushes on a pipe on one side, goes under the air inlet then onto a pre at the other side. It is meant to be split not a complete pipe. Is the bike new to you. Just something to check. Hope this helps.
  19. Hi, yeah you're correct it's normal. It is the design of the transmission apparently it only has 4 gears but gets 6 out of them? ?? Im sure someone will set me straight.
  20. I don't have the centre bolt on mine, some people don't put them back in. Good knows why but it seems fine without
  21. Glad all is okay. What was the problem?
  22. I had mine off last week. Check that your basket has slid onto both bearings, there are 2 of the little needle roller bearings that the basket sits on. Mine was a bit of a dog to slide onto the inner one.
  23. I did the east route last year and found I did Ok so I moved up to clubman route. .....doesn't take much guessing really lol
  24. Hi. Your easiest and cheapest option is the head spacer. I did it to mine and it was a doddle. It all depends what youre looking for.
  25. Hi all. Started last year riding the easy route at my local club and absolutely loved it. Did quite well, decided to go upto clubman route this year, Wow what a difference, I've done 2 trials now, I thought I'd done better on Saturday but seen results and I came last. So what. I can't put into words how much I enjoyed it. Things can only get better lol. My point is just jump in and do it!
