Hopping and balancing and moving sideways is a skill in it's self but so is the ability to pick a line and stay on it. Surely the best rider is the one that picks a line through the section, preferably one with choices of lines, not the rider that just chooses each of the easiest elements and hops between them.
You can stop and balance in my sections for as long as you like - I love giving "ones" for stops!
-
It's not a matter of how your club decides ties, it's quite clear - TSR25. (If your club is an ACU club)
a, Most cleans
d, Most ones
c, Most twos
d, Most threes
e Furthest cleanest
If there is another way it must be included in the Supplementary Regulations, if it wasn't then the result is a tie.

The chromium barrel is far harder than the aluminium piston left on it so fine emery paper will do no harm. The effect of the piston seizing will already have done some damage but don't make it worse with vertical strokes, use lateral ones. Chances are the the damage will be below the exhaust port so don't worry - it'll be fine.

I hope the training encourages all you girls to enter the Ladies Championship rounds. This year a Ladies Intermediate and Girls

It's a trials bike, not a show piece! Surely you bought it to ride and not to look good - otherwise you would have bought a Beta!
Just stick a sticker on and use it for what it was made for.

It's at Plan-de-la-Tour, in Provence - the South East corner. A beautiful area with tons of scope for natural sections.

Remove the valve & rim tape, thoroughly clean the wheel and with plenty of tyre soap (not fairy liquid or anything else) fit the rim tape. It will easily pop into position under the lip of the rim, there is no need to seal with silicone. Re-fit the valve with silicone, use plenty of tyre soap on the tyre and fit. Remove the valve core and with a forecourt air line and a bit of fiddling the tyre will inflate and push out to the bead.

I've got a Nikon D50 digital SLR - absolutely fanbloodytastic!

Nigel Dabster is quite right, never use WD40 or anything other than tyre soap.
If the wheel rim is cleaned thoroghly you have no need to use silicon to seal the rim band, again just use plenty of tyre soap and the band will just pop into place and seal perfectly - you may need silicon around the valve though. Remove the valve core when inflating the tyre and a with garage forecourt air line, tyre soap and a bit of help from your hands and knees the tyre will blow out to the bead with no problem!

The East Midland Centre ACU site http://www.motorcyclesport.org.uk has a full list of clubs and a fixture list.

I agree with AS IoW, the best ladies ARE riding in the championship series - Becky & Donna with Katy & Emma not far behind.
Katy has writen to everyone concerned with the ladies championship in an effort to improve entries next year, let's hope Maria enters and then there will be no need to discuss the issue!
Well done IOW on your three champions, I think it is important from a club point of view.

Lincoln MC&CC have a trial on Sunday 21st May at Metheringham quarry, 10.30am start.
Lincoln MC&CC
You can join the club, the ACU etc all on the day.
See TC callendar & TMX.

I'm sorry Lewis Gas-Gas you're wrong. If you ride out of class you must still ride the engine capacity of your correct class.
Sell the 200, read the ACU handbook and buy the correct bike, unless you were born in 1990 in which case you are "A" class and you can ride the 200.

My son has an 04 290 and it ran out of sparks at about a year old. I replaced the stator with a rewound one from BVM and the spark is hardly visible, I would swear it isn

I think most observers would allow footing without the foot leaving the footrest but the ACU rules are quite clear, it

I can't understand why they do it, they don't just make the sections easier for themselves, they make them easier for everyone else as well!
It is cheating, I warn them they will be fived and then, if possible, kick the rocks back in (preferably when they go back to their bikes).
-
They also used a similar device at the Swiss round in 2004 but I can

I can only speak for the East Midland Centre but we have an annual Clerk of the Course/Stewards licensing seminar and this years (March 14th) will include risk assessment.
-
That system already exists. From 2006 a club can apply for on Open or Restricted permit. Obviously "open" means open to anyone and "restricted" can mean restricted to anybody the club chooses, ie. club, centre or any combination of clubs or centres.
-
Good luck with the first round, we're running the second round at Lincoln in April. Details will follow but it's intended to use the same all female format and three laps of twelve sections.
-
Forget it.
You will have to pay rates on the land if you intend to use it more than 28 times a year and insurance will cost you at least
-
For some, that was the case in 2005.
I, as a National Clerk of the Course & Steward, and my wife as a club secretary got free registration last year.
It only happened for one year though and I agree it ought to continue and be available for senior club officials.

Not only is spelling off the curriculum but also punctuation and grammar!
